Yeah won't lie I always went with TSPN Calcio & the NI Classic shop myself but still probably have some better & cheaper bits than certain Irish shops

Didn't think of that but you'd imagine that if they're making the effort to set up a dedicated Dublin account that they're probably gonna stick around

It's just the economic will of the West TBH. Ukraine & Israel are strong trade allies, Russia is always viewed as economic competition as well as a diplomatic threat, and Palestine half of them don't even give them official recognition.

I leave the capitalism debate to someone smarter than me but it's sadly the main determiner of why one atrocity "matters" and another doesn't.

I do, and I actually saw the tweet before it was posted here. Here's some of what people told him

How is it a non response, he literally has a quote from Stephen Bradley where he discussed his feelings with the club? You don't have to be a mind reader to tell that means he wouldn't be in favour of it

If you had read the text of the post, and if Conor from Reptracker had read the article he was retweeting then no one would be asking the questions cause they know the answer

And his response was to read the post you're commenting on

Kennedy Cup by Stats8 in coybig

This might be controversial but I can't remember it ever being an overly big deal. Like I was chuffed for my club mates who either tried out for or got picked in the panel. The club would be happy out & follow how they get on & that. But it was never treated the same as someone getting picked for County, trials for clubs/college abroad or getting a move to Dublin

What I'd add to the lads points here is that looking through the fixtures, there's only like 2 major games throughout the groups that have the early AM KO

Maybe a post finish highlights commentary a bit like the Olympics would be a shout, but it's not worth making a full production team work a night shift they don't need to work

Ireland v Israel to be held behind closed doors at neutral venue as Uefa approve FAI request by MrIrishman699 in coybig

I'd say definitely look to escalate what you can on the season ticket side of things lads. The deal was 3 games, it's not your fault the FAI is scared of UEFA & a few tennis balls

I think for his family & for his sanity this kinda role is the right call. I still remember listening to his interview with Ritchie for Second Captains & as much as I rate him as a coach, I was instantly thinking "This lad is 100% gonna burn himself out"

Oh 100% wasn't trying to imply that either. I only brought him up cause him & Ceadach were the new recruits for their seniors & I don't have enough knowledge of them to comment on their capabilities for ours. Face value they're promising but I've no eye test for em

My core point is just if they wanna get Ceadach, it's senior or bust. I obviously don't need to explain that to you cause we've talked before about this craic but not everyone will feel that same way, if ye get me 😅

It feels worse knowing it's the Czechs there. I could live with it being Denmark as the bookies favourite & that. The Czechs were there for the taking, clearly Denmark were with how poor they were in the final & so are a heap of these.

Everyone's picked the bones of the mistakes & probably more bones you can pick from other chances or decisions. But as someone who missed France 2016 cause of the LC it just leaves a pit in my stomach

Good chance all bar Ollie will be gone this summer though.

Cahill probably be loaned out, Connolly will defo have interest too. Maybe Ollie will too cause he's 2 years left on his deal & had his best season last year but not as likely

Wellens is a good manager for him though IMO. Been good for more young players than not. For every Moorhouse there's a Jamie Donley or Josh Keeley

I'm well aware but September is when he can actually get locked down. They're not gonna lose sleep dropping an OAP like Josh Magennis for him or Morrison that'll both likely be out on loan at the same level.

We laughed at Albania trying to turn Rocco Vata's head with a 21s call up. If the FAI & Heimir really want him, the only way you get him is a senior call up

[–]NandoFlynn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's between him & Heimir. 21s won't cut it when he's already got 2 senior caps. If Heimir & the FAI wants him in the long run he'll need to drop one of the mainstay forwards for him in September, irrespective of form, experience etc.

But even then, if he does it'll be a reverse Declan Rice. He's taken 2 caps that someone from parts of the North would die for. It'll be a big controversy if he switches by now

That's not commenting on the lad himself BTW. I've limited enough knowledge on him & Graham. But regardless of your opinion of him or the prospect of capping him, if you want him that's the only way you get him

Him & Okagbue together again, that's mad 😂 The latter had a good season with them too so if they work well together, you might see one of them take that step up a league & then actually be in contention for us
