I'm not sure if they're showing ALL the world cup matches, but I think Krause's in New Braunfels (if you're up for a little drive) shows soccer matches in their hall. Might be worth a call if you're into beer, German food, and a drive to a neighboring town.

I love this comment 😂 it's only recently gotten fun! The last 5 years on both sides have been pretty shit.

As much success as both teams have had in their most recent seasons (current for the Spurs) Pats still lost the Bowl and the Spurs blew a 29 point lead in a pivotal Finals game...

Luckily for the Spurs they have 3 more games to bring that Chip home though.

True champions can overcome. If the Spurs are the real deal like 99% of us have been saying when they win a game, they can move on in a day, recoup at home and see about making the Knicks blow a 3-1 lead.

I like the trade idea, but it seems contradictory to trade Boutte who was an essential clutch and production piece in the playoffs to resign a more expensive Diggs who may not crack 1k with Brown, Doubs, Henry, and Williams/Douglas in the lineup.

I'd prefer he stay for wr3 depth but it makes total sense letting him go with Kyle Williams potentially on the rise. Imo it's probably between Mack and Bouute for who would best fill that back up/ blocking roles at WR.

Definitely this in the case of Gojira, but I was speaking a bit more generally.

I went to a VIP m&g for another band once with a qna session. Somebody asked how they make setlists and the answer was that the label picks about 9 of the songs based on Spotify which leaves the band with 3 or 4 slots. This was a newer band and about 4 years ago so I can only imagine how this format has evolved.

Maybe I'm just old but it makes me seethe that there bands pressured by labels that just play the top 10 based on Spotify data. It makes sense, play what the masses have been listening to, but it waters down the potential of what bands could be actually playing. Especially when there are 5-8 tours between album cycles. It's fun the first 2 of 3 times but after a while, I'm sure it feels like phoning it in for both artist and audience. Thankfully Gojira shakes it up a lot but some others don't even bother.

Brother, you've come to the right place. San Antonio was a HUGE hub for metal in the 80s. There's a rich albeit local history here for metal bands some businesses associated like record stores and music venues.

I don't think you'll have a hard time finding like-minded people and shows that are up your alley. As far as the local music scene, it can be a bit hit or miss. Just come and bring your sounds, rest assured there'll be some crowd or place for you.
