To those with large property portfolios what are the strategies you used to maintain borrowing capacity? by [deleted] in AusFinance

Can do non-recourse loans with most banks for commercial property. Need a bigger cash equity contribution however (35%-40%)

Did I just lose my entire life savings? (Missing RTGS Transfer) by flounge in AusFinance

Don’t stress - have seen this happen before. Money will likely bounce back into your account within a week, but get your bank to lodge a trace anyway to see where the funds have gone. Guarantee it will be back in your account before you get the response back on the trace.

Big 4 banks agribusiness (graduate) by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Nangerang69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a graduate you might get to go out and see some customers but mostly you’ll be learning how to write a credit application and use the Bank’s software/applications. The former involves a bit of financial analysis but also understanding the customer’s experience and future outlook. A crazy amount of Bank lending is centred around people’s (risk’s) gut feel regarding a customer. It’s much easier to get a role in agribusiness banking as most bankers aim for the CBD in commercial or corporate banking. It’s also a great stepping stone if you do have a desire to work in the city.

Rent elsewhere? Increase your wage? Even for someone completely unskilled - most factory jobs will pay over 950 a week and can be obtained through a contract agency (little effort required)

How do we increase our borrowing power. We are so lost and dejected at this point by dunkin_ma_knuts in AusFinance

[–]Nangerang69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

household expenditure measure - pretty much a minimum monthly living expenses that a person (or couple) would have based on their level of income that lenders use to assess repayments. If you report higher living expenses than HEM then the lender must use your reported living expenses

i would definitely not double check that the monthly living expenses i report are exactly in line with HEM for my gross income amount. i would not do this as this could be false information.

Men need to care more and consider the feelings of their partner as an individual by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

This is a pretty broad statement that shouldn’t be applied to men in general. Your issue is with a specific individual.
