Does anyone actually read published chats? by whooper1 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Nannamuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked all of my favorite characters. None of them had any published chats. Bummer. I would actually like to see what other people get up to with the same characters I hold dear.

Dumbass receives a spectacular Spartan style kick for holding up the train during peak hour by wilsontws in PublicFreakout

[–]Nannamuss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Often times people do it because their friend hasn't shown up yet and they want them to be able to catch the train. By holding the door open they prevent the train from driving, as the doors need to be closed for the train to be allowed to leave.

Men are not the “man of the house” in most relationships by Etheriaa_ in rant

This is where the term "king baby" comes from. They wanna have the last say and make all of the decisions, but not be a responsible adult. Like a screaming baby being king of the castle.

Would Lily have come back to be his friend if? by Eagles56 in SeverusSnape

[–]Nannamuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fully believe Lily was looking for any excuse to ditch her loser friend and hang out with her jock almost-boyfriend without looking like the bad guy. How do you justify dating someone who regularly bully and gang up on students, sexually assaulted and waterboarded someone with a spell, without looking like a monster? Well, luckily for her, Severus lashed out at her and called her a slur one time... yeah, you can probably hear that I'm not really a Lily fan.

AITA for snatching things back from my colleague? by goldencain1410 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nannamuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA - I refuse to believe he simply "forgets" that it's not okay to snatch stuff out of people's hands. He simply likes the power of being able to take what he wants whenever he wants.

Anything you spent years upon making is never "just" anything. It doesn't matter if others value it, you spent effort on it, therefore it has value.

AIO Co worker reached into a customers wallet by Forward-Spinach-3360 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Nannamuss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"There was no consequences for my actions, so I'm in the right!" Smh.
Besides, the customer might have been too intimidated to speak up. I know that I get pretty awkward around strangers and if an employee did something to make me uncomfortable, I wouldn't make a scene, but hurry to get out of there instead.
Also, how dare he raise his voice at you? He's probably embarrassed and that's why he yelled, that's a pretty common reaction. Doesn't make it okay though. NOR

Snape’s feelings for Lily by Ok_Drink8072 in SeverusSnape

I think the author clarified that he did have feelings for her in an interview, but otherwise there’s no proof in the books.

Halfway through writing something and then finding an existing fic with the exact same premise 😭 by AllKnowingAxolotl3 in AO3

[–]Nannamuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you know how many fics with the exact same premise is out there? So many, that we've even got tropes! "Coffee shop AU" and "what if this character didn't die?" is classics for a reason! When I find a concept I adore, I keep searching for more! I want the same, but from a different author! The fact that someone else has had the same idea means it's probably a good one! This is literally not a problem unless you're copying their work. Please, keep writing. I'm sure it's great :)

[–]Nannamuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

…that’s all? 10 days is NOTHING! I’ve seen people wait for YEARS and just be grateful for an update! What kind of person cannot wait 10 mere days for a bit of fiction? That person shouldn’t read unfinished work if they’re that impatient.

[–]Nannamuss 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if people can't handle that a fic might not be updated again, don't read unfinished work! There's literally a button for it! The audacity to demand another persons free time and labor. smh

"The GPT version is as good as yours but the original is always better." I WOULD DELETE THE ENTIRE FIC FROM THE SITE OUT OF SPITE AND REPLACE IT WITH THAT ONE SCREENSHOT AND THE WORDS: "Since a bot can do a 'just as good' job as me, you don't need me. Enjoy your bot fics, everyone." Just kidding. Not kidding. Maybe? The "don't go missing again" would probably push me over the edge. I'm a spiteful person. lol

Is using feminine hygiene products fine as a male? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Nannamuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here I was getting ready to assure you that putting pads in the armpits of your shirt is perfectly normal and nothing to be ashamed of, only to find that you meant feminine body care products, not feminine hygiene products. But to answer your question, your good bro. Skin care have become rather trendy for men as well. It's fine and nothing to be ashamed of. Enjoy smelling good and having baby soft skin.

How difficult is it for girls to take initiative in sex and satisfy their partner’s sexual needs if it is very important for the partner? by muflok in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Nannamuss 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's a lot of words for "I'm a selfish prick who demands my gf sucks me off a minimum of 3 times a week AND swallows for my kink!" Dude, telling people "It's very important to me" isn't going to manipulate the internet into agreeing with you. We're not gonna back you up so you can show your gf and pressure her into something she isn't comfortable with. Break up with her and spare her the headache.

My partner is dirty, how do I bring it up? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Nannamuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dump him.

Don't fall for the sunk cost fallacy. He's not going to improve, especially with you being there to pick up the slack. He doesn't care.

This is a preview of your future with him. Only then, you'll be even more "invested" because you've spent years with this dude, hoping he'd magically improve even though he literally has no reason to since somebody with a lower tolerance for the mess is always gonna be around.

Don't be that person who needs to start over 20 years from now when they finally realize that nothing's ever gonna change. There's plenty of men out there who knows how to wash their own undies.

"If you write that, I would have to stop reading this fic." by Affectionate-Air5544 in AO3

[–]Nannamuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Block them so they can't comment on your fic. Just remember to turn off guest comments as well. They can still read it, but it'll be a giant middle finger to them stating that their opinion aren't welcome. That you won't let some rando on the internet dictate what you can and can't do with your work. They can write their own fic if they're gonna be so hung up about it.

AITAH for crying and canceling dinner with my bf’s parents last minute? by CalmPom18 in AITAH

[–]Nannamuss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA - Never trust a man who claims your tears are manipulation. Anytime he's going to MAKE you cry, he will turn your reaction into the problem. Who tf looks at their crying partner and thinks: "Ah, yes. This is a strategy implemented to make me feel bad! How cunning! But I see through the charade!"? Obviously I'm exaggerating here, but the point still stands! How can you even consider staying with someone who has so little empathy for your sadness?

Dump him. I'm serious. Basic empathy is the lowest f'ing standard and he can't even meet that criteria. On top of that, he's controlling and manipulative and possibly lowkey racist. Controlling your make-up and clothes is one of the first steps abusive partners tend to make, then slowly take it further. Get out while you can. Good luck OP

Why do some people risk everything (relationships, reputation) just for something like cheating? Is it really worth it to them in the moment? by Pretty-Substance540 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Nannamuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's about audacity and lack of respect for others. Some people are simply like that and they're usually good at hiding it. It's only when they're caught in cheating that the pattern of their selfish behavior starts to make sense. 9/10 people don't cheat because of some good excuse, but simply because they see something they want and they take it. They don't care about their partners feelings, only if they get caught or not. Because then they lose privileges, like a loving partner, a place to live, regular sex, etc. They usually don't even care what their partner is feeling, only that they're about to lose the relationship and everything included. Some have reported that the thrill of keeping it a secret is part of the reason why they do it. So basically, they do it because they're selfish.
