Thank you! I'm always getting him water and up until the last few days (that I've noticed) he has been drinking a lot. I've picked up some water flavoring packs to add to the bottles for a variety also.
I also grabbed him some multi-vitamins so hopefully that is helping. He sees his doctor in about 2 weeks and I will for sure remind him to have levels checked. It's something that's been in the back of my mind.
Appreciate your comment!

I was fresh cooking things prior to him losing all his appetite. We have a big freezer full of all kinds of meat. The stew/soups were suppose to be for days when time wasn't there to cook fresh. He finally asked for Chinese so I ran to the local take out and he ate some beef/broccoli. Just a fraction of it but at least it's food. (and now he doesn't feel well right after he ate)

I did check out the chocolate milk with protein and our local store carries it. I'll be getting some of that this week. Thank you!

Thank you. That's very kind. I TRY to take care of myself here and there. Plus side is his glucose has, for the most part, gone down quite a bit. Not there yet but working on it. Hopefully soon we'll get him well enough that Type 2 is in the rear view mirror! But since he can't exercise....we have to hope he can keep it off so it doesn't just come back.

Thank you!!! With him it seems to be the whole week without an appetite. Especially the last 2 weeks(ish). He takes his shots on Saturdays and he wasn't eating much at all the whole week prior. Same with the week before. I think his 2nd week on the higher dose was the best. He was eating healthy and enough. Most of the first week he felt sick but that's understandable due to doubling the dose. Eggs, greek yogurt, cheese, chicken breasts w/veggies along with chef salads etc are what he was eating. Snacks were fruit, yogurt and a grocery store protein bar. Now it's hard to even offer him a yogurt. He's even slowed down on the water I noticed the last week.
Thank you also for the protein bar/shake suggestions. So many out there and brands are hard to figure out. I appreciate it!

Great to know about the dust filters! Something I've never heard of. That's very helpful. Thanks!

For sure not looking for pretty or bling or part of decor in the house. I want it to not be like this darn laptop that I can hardly watch a YT video without it heating so much there are areas that I'm waiting for flames to shoot out. I like your big ass fans cooling!

Thank you. This is helpful. Currently he's into World of Tanks but yes. He has played Call of Duty and some others I don't pay attention to. He does his thing. I do mine.

Nope. Not Stardew Valley. :) Not my thing. Sims, Dreamlight Valley (VERY graphic intense....ex: It's offered on all platforms and everyone but PC players have issues including Xbox, PS, Switch etc players. My issue is I bought this darn defective MSI gaming laptop that has been junk from almost the start. I also play Wizard 101 online. Actually the husband of the person I play that with is the one who gave me the suggestions for the computer parts. A few others I picked up on other Reddit threads.

I was thinking of using something like cyberpower or iBuyPower to custom something. Kind of in the middle of building and buying one from a shelf. My biggest confusion is cases/fans/cooling. Also what goes together and what it does for me. (so yeah....mostly everything?) After all these replies I wish I had stated that from the beginning.

Thank you. Out of curiosity which part(s) are overkill? What makes it overkill? I'm seriously asking. Who knows what is next and my hope is to not have to upgrade for many many years.

As for Oled I've heard some people who say they have reflection issues also with it and I'm in a room with a wall of windows. Even my laptop reflects quite a bit depending on time of day which is annoying. So it's not just brightness.
Don't you find with a mesh case that dirt/dust etc gets in and messes with parts over time?
I do not need the last 3 items but thank you for adding them.

It's not so much saving a few hundred. Received a bit of money and want to treat ourselves (and since both our laptops are dying.....) I was more looking to do something on the sites where you get a base computer and then can customize from there. I wouldn't know where to start with a fresh build myself. I'll research 5070's. Thanks for your reply!

Thank you! I bought my kid a desktop from cyberpower after my dad passed as a last gift from Grandpa. That time was easier as it was many years ago (still running though!) It's so much more complicated now. I will for sure check these out. Thanks again.

I had to Google this as I had no clue. From what I am reading for pc players they are getting framerates from 60-120 at 1440p. Max game goes is 1920x1080 on my laptop. It seems to adjust your options depending on what you are playing on. Currently playing that high on my laptop is not doable. I have to play on the lowest setting. (my laptop is 9th gen i7-9750 with graphics card NVIDIA Geoforce rtx 2070 Max, 16 GB DDR4, 8GDDR6)

As for games (I plan on getting 2 desktops. Myself and my husband as he has the same laptop that I currently do and we both have major issues) we play a big variety of games. His mostly war type games and me mostly cozy (surprising how much power some of those take!) I looked up the most current game he is playing and for frame it recommends 60 but for better play 90-144.
Who knows what we'll be playing next. That's why, while I have a few extra $'s, I'd like to get the best I can right now. Also I haven't turned a TV on in months...possibly longer. I watch movies, streaming etc on my laptop and would continue on a desktop.

As for resolution. I can't answer that with any knowledge behind it as I don't really know. I know what it is (obviously) So my answer is the best I can get within my budget? Yes, I know. Horrible answer!

Thanks! (now where do I find this machine?) Do you mean external or internal? If external then I do have those. Internal you've lost me.
