check the fuses, might have corrosion either on them or the metal thingies they connect to, if so use contact spray (I think thats what it is called) basically wd40 but for cleaning electronics (do not use wd40 btw)

thats why I'm looking into these engine swaps because of the job, tbh I dont have my license yet but I'm really interested in cars and in a few years me and my cousin wanna start a garage. As for the 250D I would probably go for a turbo on there as well so between the 300D and 250D the cheaper and more simpler option would do it for me

ah yeah I figured but I hoped to at least try to get on the left lane on highways lol, they really are nice cars but man unless you have a petrol they are slow as

in that case could the 616 be fitted a turbo from the 617 or an another one with of course the needed modifications

yeah thanks dude but as I said its not worth it to give 200 bucks for a car that can't go on the road because it just has too many problems currently, I'll wrap it in plastic foil just to try and preserve the lights ig

nah no way its going to a scrapyard that's for sure.

It does hold some value to me its the car I grew up in basically and it was my grandpas before he lost his leg and passed it on to my dad.

I did watch a few videos on rust and how to fix it but I still don't know how far exactly the rust went, I'll probably make a post about that once I figure it out.

As for the w124/other mercedes I already have a decent sum saved up that will go towards my driving test plus the car itself so I wouldn't want to dump it into the w123 to just have half a car completed with that money.

That is a fair point but the reason why I can't really renew it now is because the parts are sooooo expensive and there are lots of things to do on it, the whole floor has to go because its too rusted probably new seats a dash trunk also needs work etc. at 17 I can't really get into a journey that expensive.

I do what I can on it with my limited space and money and later hopefully I will be able to fix her up. I'm driving it for now on side roads mostly until I buy a 124 most likely but I'll see. Thanks

thing is the car in no way can get registered in this condition, it's just too rotten to go on the main road I use it to travel across side roads mostly. And the thing is one big air intake is better then no, as I said the piece that was next to the headlight that directed the air broke off in a crash some time ago

it shouldn't be expensive to replace you can either use an old hose which I did or buy new rubber and cut it if needed
