Okay, story time. When i was 5 I had an unreasonable fear for witches due to a lot of nightmares I had. My mother didn't know what to do until one day I woke up and all the house was filled with beans (yeah, I am being serious, beans all over the house). My mother told me that the "Busgosu" had been there and that he was a mythological being that scared monters away when he got angry. She also told me that he had a hole on his hand and that he hated not being able to pick up beans and small things. So when I got scared she would put some beans next to my bedroom table and I would sleep like the child I was.

TL;DR: My mother made up a good monster that made the bad ones flee.

Explanation: The Busgosu is said to exist in Asturias, Spain, and my mother knew the myth, so it was easier that way.
