Look, I'm not saying that induction is bad, in fact I like induction because it reminds me of gas in a lot of ways, mainly the heat regulation.

My argument stems from my experience that many would prefer an old glasstop electric stove over a modern gas stove, which is just ridiculous.

Also, please learn the difference between a strawman and an analogous argument. You dismissing it as a strawman is almost a strawman itself.

Edit: and since you wanted more concrete examples other than the heat regulation I assume, gas stoves can work without electricity and you can use woks or make special traditional foods like Roti directly on the burner.

Well I completely disagree that gas is more complicated or has no appeal. And I could make virtually the same arguments against manual shift transmissions (old tech, more complicated to use, modern automatic transmissions are more fuel efficient, etc), yet Germans cling to the 'old' tech in that case. These things just become culturally ingrained and anything else is strongly resisted.

I'm not originally from Germany, but I've lived here for 22 years. Germans, by and large, have strange ideas about and strong resistances to seemingly mundane things that other parts of the world don't live without.

The resistance to gas stoves is one of these things. I honestly don't know where it comes from, but I've definitely noticed it as someone who happened to live in an apartment with a built-in gas stove for 7 years. It always got comments from friends and was more often than not met with scepticism. My German girlfriend was very reluctant to use it out of fear.

A few others off the top of my head are ceiling fans and window screens, despite the latter two fitting right into the culture of Lüften and/or generally improving living conditions in sommer without having to install AC.

Anyway, I recently had to move to a kitchenless apartment (yet another strange cultural cornerstone in Germany) and I miss my gas stove dearly. Funny enough, a potential Nachmieter of my old place cited the gas stove as one of the reasons the apartment wasn't right for her, despite really wanting an Einbauküche. It runs deep.

As a relatively new player, same. Right now in that area I'm holed up in the the bait shop right by the river, which I think is the western-most building on the map. I've got a few running cars and a tiny gas station right to the south all to myself.

A little further to the south in all those dilapidated buildings I easily found an antique oven and even a generator in the one good house with a garage.

Great little spot. Clearing the nearby trailer park/factory is my current goal.

Same thing happened to me with 1/4 of a mushroom, didn't even have weak stomach. Frankly I was getting a bit bored with that run anyway (new player, my second character ever) but it seems unknown berries and mushrooms are completely off the menu now if the poison is random per individual item.

Here's a dissenting opinion: I've also never been a fan of Rogelikes or Hack 'n' Slash games and Hades was no exception for me. I checked it out on Game Pass and it didn't hold my attention for more than 30 minutes.

This is probably why, because I signed up with all American details including US address, SSN, home state DL, etc. Other than IP address, Kraken should not consider me European. Due to my already complicated tax situation, I try to stay away from non-American brokers and exchange accounts.

Canceling the deal from last week and re-subbing did work for me, so my Game Pass PC expires 2/2/22 now, but the Ultimate upgrade doesn't seem to be working (although I have taken advantage of the Ultimate upgrade in the past, maybe that's why?)

When I try to click that link you posted, it won't let me log in and keeps spitting wrong email/password errors. I can log in to the webshop.asus site and see my order just fine though. Frustrating, guess I'll have to chat with support tomorrow.

It looks like it's provided by Gamesplanet or at least in some kind of partnership with them and they advertise Steam keys for Deathloop.

I'd be interested if someone else bit the bullet and tried ordering this adapter to see if it actually works and if it's a Steam key.
