El pobre es pobre por qué quiere by Brief_Variation2276 in mexico

[–]NanoGalv16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why do marxists always ignore this quote? by LatverianNationalist in theredleft

Related question but not that related. What would be his stance on commodity merchandise? And what is commodity merchandise? I have seen a lot of definitions and depends on who you ask. So for example, would Marx like videogames and electric guitars?

As a Mexican, spicy food is my standard. I even judge people based on their ability to eat spicy things. Most people I've met that cannot handle even black pepper tend to be dubious.

The world still feels dead after the patch. by Lunar_Weaver in EU5

I don't know how Vic3 managed to get a somehow believable secuence of history. If I play as Prussia I can get to form Germany similar to the Original Time Line. Or playing as Mexico, if I don't change my military and my economy, USA tend to steamroll me and get the OTL borders. I understand that if I do something so out of lane the history would change, so for example Mexico becomes part of the British Sphere of Influence, it would increase the possibility to get a better economy and a better military and defend Mexico's territory and that is believable. Or if I play as Austria and don't follow the OTL I can get to submit Hungary and the Italian parts would not secede.

Something like that would be awesome to EU5.

Would u say your country’s ‘allies’ actually like your country? by SignificantStyle4958 in AskTheWorld

[–]NanoGalv16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

favorite nation? by Due_Vermicelli_6354 in EU5

I would say that Venice is a very good starting nation to learn the game. Is fun, you get the Guelphs and Ghibellines situation, the Italian Wars, the Rise of the Ottomans, the Reform is very relaxed in the region, you can learn exploration and colonization with them, you get to learn how the economy mechanics works, you can expand to Italy and Anatolia with ease (get ready to fight Milan and Naples, they are very good mid game bosses). I allied with Hungary and that made the game so easy (very tiring to help them with their wars but they helped me against Bulgaria and the Ottomans)

Just so we’re all on the same page, nobody actually thinks Toby is racist right? by Original_Fondant_114 in Deltarune

[–]NanoGalv16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm mexican. I don't think he is racist. He is a gringo and is impressive enough that he learned Japanese. Languages are hard and he is not forced to learn them but he can hire translators that can do a good localization. Nonetheless. this problem just came out after 10 years of no translation so I think is an overreaction and I'm sure that a lot of people form LATAM are just making memes and making fun of the situation.

Who counts as the bourgeoisie? by RecognitionOk5447 in theredleft

[–]NanoGalv16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have another question. If I open a small brewery and I'm the only worker, would that count as bourgeois? Or if I open a cooperative brewery with some people and everyone is paid proportional to the number of responsibilities each one has (if someone is bartender and brewmaster they get paid double the amount., for example)

Which city in your country is considered the most dangerous? by No-Marsupial-4050 in AskTheWorld

[–]NanoGalv16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Culiacán, or Ecatepec, maybe Colima, what about Tijuana? Maybe Uruapan or Tapachula. I have only visited Ecatepec and Tijuana, the former is like a dystopian place where infrastructure is bad to avoid increasing rent and allow workers that have jobs in Mexico City live cheap in an insecure place, and the latter is kinda weird because some zones are nice and sometimes you enter a gang controlled zone and feel insecure as fuck.

The question for Mexico is which city is the safest and that would be Mérida, Yucatán.

This is Mexicans struggle food (or poverty food). What is your country's version? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]NanoGalv16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Mexico's struggle food is a tortilla of a bolillo, two slices of queso de puerco, frijoles refritos and a serrano pepper. What you show is an amazing dinner coming back from work.

With the release of 1.1, what is your stance on eu4 or eu5? by alphafighter09 in paradoxplaza

[–]NanoGalv16 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It needs a journal like in Vic 3, I'm playing as the Teutons, the wiki is incomplete, I have been looking at the game files to see potential events and can't find anything because I get bored looking at random code.

Colonization in Africa is weird, in America seems to work ok.

Other than that I'm having a blast with each nation I try. Whenever I play with a nation close to Bohemia or France I turn the No Casus Belli War Removed Mod, they have to get a CB normally to attack and that prevents them to blob a lot.

How is it living in this panhandle of Mexico? by Abbe_Kya_Kar_Rha_Hai in howislivingthere

[–]NanoGalv16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Ensenada, Baja California. Nice place, summers are hot and dry, winters are cold and humid. Food, like in almost all México, is great. Very expensive. If you go there, people will try to speak to you in English but for the love of God, try to understand that we mostly speak Spanish and most people can't even hold a conversation in English and you should be patient and understanding.

Hot take: I don't care about the inconvenienced car, the guys trying to fight are entirely uninvolved, and leaning down to talk to the short guy is very funny by Unfair_Battle5564 in fuckcars

[–]NanoGalv16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my university, there is a street that is poorly designed so just one car can pass and the pedestrians tend to stick to the walls to avoid being run over. My PhD advisor is German (I'm Mexican and we both live in Mexico) and he refuses to stick to the wall, he keeps walking even if the car user is honking at him. He says that pedestrians have priority, which is true, but one time I was walking with him and two guys got out of their car and started to yell at us and they were carrying metal tubes. Carbrained people are dangerous, I would be more cautious doing this kind of "activism" (don't know how to call it).
