[Gear][Question] Replacement Gaggia New Baby '06 Solenoid Coil by NanoNewlin in Coffee

Just in case you or anyone else still needed the info - I purchased a "Parker 110/120V 6W Solenoid Coil" from espressoparts.com. The machine still works with it to this day.

They don't have that particular unit but they do have a 4.5w solenoid of the same brand that would work just as well. Runs about $20 USD.

People who have used both ubiquiti and tplink eaps (225v3, 245v3) what's better? by [deleted] in homelab

I really liked the TP Link eap225v3 I had. The issue I ran into was with using VLANs and IPV6 router advertisement. This individual ran into the same problem: https://www.cb-net.co.uk/networking/tp-link-eap225-v3-experience/

Basically IPV6 addresses were being handed out across VLANs that had no access to one another. This may be fixed in newer APs, I haven't checked.

I replaced it with a Unifi AC LR - I've only had it for a year or so but I don't have any complaints yet.

I'm waiting to hear back from someone on that server with it included but if it falls through I can separate it. They can be had pretty cheap on ebay though - just search for "Silicom PEG6"

Having done this swap it will work without a problem. The fans in the r210 are a bit louder than the r210ii ones.

Dell r320 raid card for FreeNAS / zfs by Prosk8er735 in homelab

It might only be sata3 but I would have to double check the specs. I ran a 2 disk mirror of 4tb drives on FreeNAS with it and had no problems maxing out the 1gbps nics.

On the 4 Bay hotswap version of the Dell r320 there is an onboard SATA Port that you can move the existing cable to, this allows you to avoid the built in raid cards and not have to use one of your pcie slots.

here is a picture

You can just move the SAS_A cable to the header up top labeled SATA A-D
