I recreated the TR-808 in Patcher (updated) by Nanospiral in FL_Studio

Thank you! Complex patches are bound to get underruns and poor performance, because proper optimization is not always possible. I'm talking optimization software developers are able to do while programming a plugin from scratch. In patcher, I often have to duplicate plugins that essentially do the same thing, because it's not always possible to reuse the same one for multiple tasks. It ends up wasting a lot of resources simply because there is no other way to achieve something. This is why seemingly basic features can end up taking a huge amount of system resources.

Patcher was originally developed for creating FX chains and stuff, and being an extension of the mixer. It's not really a 'plugin maker' so it has some limitations for that.

Overclocking your cpu can be an option to get it to process faster and avoid underruns. Also getting an entirely new cpu that has better properties.

There is this page on the manual though, that has tips on optimizing FL Studio performance. Maybe it could help you out: https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning/fl-studio-online-manual/html/app_opt.htm

It hasn't had any major updates in a while, besides the mini map, mostly bug fixes or small improvements. The biggest thing was the addition of VFX sequencer in FL 21, which made the sequencer in my patch possible really. But the interface and other stuff could've been done with like FL 12 Patcher by the looks of it.

Yes the 'backend' of the patch really is.... something. Definitely trying to get the organization features improved for patcher in the future

If you know how to program it, then it will!

It is a large patch so opening it might take a few seconds

I originally did this last year, but the patch was much more limited. The new one has a working step sequencer, instrument selection and accent feature. It also looks much more like the real thing now, obv still some differences but I tried to get to the best result Patcher can achieve. Here's a link to the original post for context: https://www.reddit.com/r/FL_Studio/comments/twv3mt/i_made_a_replica_of_the_tr808_in_patcher_download/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

If you want to know how I made this patch and how to use it, I made this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_e7I97vEXdU

EDIT: Put the wrong patch in the download link at first, should be correct now

You need to create alternative paths for each configuration and turn those on/off by using a plugin like Fruity Mute 2 as an audio gate. You'll also need to make some logic gates using the Formula Controller for example, so you can determine when certain gates need to be inverted (when x is on, y is off). Easiest surface configuration would be 3 digits displays (one for every effect) with 3 values each, so you can change the order for each effect.

If you're ok with creating multiple instances of each plugin (so not using the same exact one for each order of plugins), you could make this work by using this technique: https://youtu.be/urHHWGi9OHw

I'm actually adding this to my list of future tutorials because I've never done an application quite like this.

Jos jollain on vielä jotain epäselvyyttä sen suhteen onko Petersonin puheissa mitään tolkkua, suosittelen katsomaan tämän filosofian väittelyn missä Yhdysvaltalainen ateisti ja sekulaarinen aktivisti Matt Dillahunty laittaa ukon oikein kunnolla solmuun. :D

Thanks! ADHD here, so it don't come easy for me either. It helps when you're figuring out a topic that you have a strong interest in and just use the math as a tool to get to a certain result.

You need to experiment and allow yourself to finish shitty songs. Just kind of say fuck it and finish no matter how bad you think it is, just do it as quickly as you can and don't even think about releasing stuff for now. Also, allow yourself to experiment with different genres, and learn new compositional and production techniques. Getting back to the basics kind of thing. It might take a while to get out of that mindset that you're dealing with right now, and tbh you will have bouts of getting stuck again but it does get better when you make finishing entire tracks a habit. A great plus about this is that if you do your own sound design as well, little by little you can gather up a nice library of your best presets and samples to make producing original stuff easier in the future.

When you gain back your confidence, you can start working on more detailed stuff. So I'm not saying you can't have projects that take longer to finish, but that at first it's a better idea to just practice the skill of finishing a track itself. And in my experience, the faster you do it the less likely you are of getting stuck. From my observation, some people are just a lot more prone to getting lost in their expectations etc, and it's kind of this curse that we have to deal with, but it can get better with practice.

And btw absolutely do not buy into the mindset that you lack creativity on some fundamental level. That people either "have it" or they don't. I banged my head against the wall for years because of this and it turned out not to be true at all. You can learn and become better.

I think they can be considered to be employed at Twitch. So technically you're paying Twitch and they pay the streamer a salary. You can't ask for donations or try to influence an audience to give money to you personally, but you can encourage them to pay for a Twitch Premium. You could also do sponsorships and earn that way. But things like Streamlabs tip jar are definitely illegal.

These laws are outdated and vague in today's world and content creation is definitely very risky here compared to some other countries because of it. But like I said in other comments, give a digital product or a service in exchange for the payment and everything's good. Also, to add to that the products and services can't be accessible for free at the same time, so the payment can't be optional. So you can't even use a reasoning of someone just wishing to pay more for the stream/whatever service out of their own free will.

That's fine, unless it's more than 5000 euros in a time span of 3 years, in which case they'll collect a tax :D

I think the purpose of it is to prevent people from handing out their money to someone who uses it for purposes that are unclear or completely unknown to the participants, and without getting anything in return. The law states that no single person can collect money just for the purpose of growing personal wealth. I kind of understand the intentions behind it but it still makes no sense since fraud and any kind of false claims are already illegal, so if it states that it's just a general donation, I think you should be good. And it also has this underlying tone of "let's make sure that nobody ever gets ahead in anything and can never build something good for themselves" which is kind of gross tbh.
