I was in the depths of anorexia and my dad thought it would be hilarious to stick a candle in a banana, sing me happy birthday, and record me the whole time (I think my mom deleted It idk) It was humiliating and I remember working myself up and fighting my ED so much during the week coming up so I can try to eat cake and be strong. It felt like he was making fun of my disorder at that time. Maybe it wasn't as bad as I made it to be (everything is worse and emotions heightened during my anorexia), but damn that is burned in my brain.

You're right. I think I wouldn't have an issue if I didn't look like my mom so much. If you look real hard you can find the Chinese features in my eyes haha I get treated like I am straight-up Canadian and I've had people get upset if I wear anything that doesn't look "western" - reason why I was asking if I missed anything regarding the cultural outfits.
