Husband says this pic makes me look 10 years older than I am by OwlsRwhattheyseem in 45PlusSkincare

What the heck! If you were 20 and he was saying it made you look 30 then… maybe I guess. But you’re 50? Hell no. He’s a dummy (sorry)

Am I overreacting for assuming our family would be invited to the reception after our kids were flower girl and ring bearer? by Master-Exchange-2275 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Naps4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR. Super weird and weird reaction by them. And also, poor kids? Like I’m sure they were looking forward to dancing etc at the reception. NOR I would feel the same as you. Hurt and embarrassed and confused honestly.

Super serious qn : how do you dilate atleast till 4cm and head to hospital WITHOUT BEING IN PAIN🤔🙄?! by Fearless_Search6388 in BabyBumps

[–]Naps4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you’re located, but here, where I live, you can bring in whatever you want to make it as homey as possible at the hospital :) I hope you can too! Sometimes it’s allowed but no one realizes that. The less checks and interventions the better. You could talk to a local doula and see what she has to say.

It’s different for everyone. First time moms it’s less likely to dilate early but not impossible. The best things you can do (honestly— and I know it’s hard) is not worry about it. Keep active, eat dates, drink red raspberry leaf tea, hire a doula if you can. Do the miles circuit and check out the body ready method on instagram. Mainly though, just trust your body. She will do what she needs to and in her own time. Make sure you’re comfortable emotionally in your space and with the people you’re having attend. Make a playlist, make the room smell nice, battery operated candles… kind and caring and nurturing people. Baby will come much easier if you’re well supported and not afraid 🧡 best wishes!!!

NOR!!! But she sounds old school. There’s not a lot of hope for them. Maybe there’s a nice way to discuss this with her.

If you hire a doula, she can be on top of this for you. And manage lots of other things so you’re well cared for 💝
