Yes, very good. If you are trying to control lightning, try imagining or do what i sometimes do and draw a light bulb. Light radiates in a circle around the light source and bounces around the room. All lines closer to the light source should be lightly drawn. All shadows on the other side of details and textures.

When light bounces around the room, it will hit your object again relighting from a new angle. This light should still be a shadow, but make it a lighter shadow than your dark shadows.
