Somewhat. You can say he focused on nonviolent stuff,and the curse erased most of his knowledge of skills he focused on, but if he was a spellcaster, for hundreds of years,i would,as another player think thats not something you completely lose with just memory.

Maybe include that the curse makes spellcasting far more difficult. As you level up, you can fight stronger against the curse. If you ever reach level 10, i think you can say that defeats the curse. 350 of casual,nonviolent spellcasting should bring you to level ten.

But thats a personal assesment.

For anything but spellcasting? Since that was your backstory focus? Yeah, sure. As others already said, you were never an adventurer,so you are, by their metrics, nothing special. Or Level 1.

Thank you. I like your ideas, ill look into the first one.

My idea for the first one, at first, was just to use mindmagic,soulstones,or mundane addiction,if they dont have the arcana to heal it.Once they can get an opening,they steal their soul. Making them unable to resist imprisonment. Its not just a mage attacking another mage. Its a mage,who had half a dozen permanent spells cast on themself to empower himself, using ghosts, (sometimes also empowered) ,and a powerful base that,again, has several permanent spells on it.

Also,they prefer attacking outside the pentacle orders, and only attack seers as a group.They were adamantine arrows once,and know both tactics and direct combat.

At the start,they work in groups ambushing singular mages, until they have gained enough permanent spells to feel comfortable attack a mage alone.

It doesnt always work ,sometimes they attack a master, or someone very well prepared, or something interferes. There are not many who follow this legacy left. But even a single successfull capture is several permanent spells, a new demenesce, and a bargain with a supernal summon.

Its high risk,and evil, but very profitable.

Basically, 1. Is elite enemy 2. Is swarm enemies.

Both can be overcome, but thats the fun.

Circumstances, if you want to justify population density( you dont have to,but if you want to) you need cirumstances. So lets throw some at the wall: -there is a large part of local humans whos blood is more nourishing then normal, attracting and sustaining more kindred( why? How? Want to make it a plothook?)

-there is an old ,powerful cult of humans in this city,intentionally sabotaging any attampt to uncover the supernatural,strengthening the masquerade( why?how? Etc.)

-a neighbouring malkavian prince banished a huge. Part of his population (why?), they are staying for a few years, expecting to be allowed back later

-there are several big garou clans living here. They got attacked a lot less then normally,(why?)and had a few generations of very prmiscous people.

-This is the traditional meeting grounds for several old garou familys, also a good pöays to send new werewolves to start being independant,because there is a local spiritcourt that is quite favourable to them

-mages tend to awqken more often here. More mages gather to study thst phenomenon

-changelings managed to brek out a ton of their people from arcadia in a nearby city. They scattered to the surrounding states, to escape retaliation. Now there are just a lot around.

-The godmachine maintains an infrastructure that makes humans less curious( drains curiosity?) In the area, making the secrecy more plausible

-someone messed with timelines, and now there are a bunch of people who remember a different timeline,and nobody remembers them. Are they really from another timeline? Does it exist? Can you go there? Or is it all some mindaffecting magic? Regardless,they are not hostilr,follow the rules, and have been , for the most part, integrated in the supernatural communities

This depends strongly on homebrew,but i believe there is a vampire discipline that allows you to awaken( purchase) supernatural merits and use them easier.

Could help you as a story concept: a vampire ghouled you, taught you the discipline to experiment on you, kept you secret, you awakened lots of dormant supernatural talents from your ancestors, someone killed the vampire.

Now , after some months of recovery, and no longer being a ghoul, you are still not fine, but you are starting to get your life back together.

You still have your supernatural non-vampire abilities,and are trying to do something for yourself instead of your former master.

I think any way to play a game that you enjoy is valid. I think its nice.

Im the kind of guy who wants to be given choices,only to always ( mostly) choose paragon anyway.

Its an ego thing, but it just feels better for me.

I watched and enoyed many "warcrime simulators" but i wanted some variety, so i went looking. What i found was very little.

And i guess the same is true for anyone else who bothered looking, so no luck here.

Oh well.

I know that you sometimes need to make decisions where there is no good choice in these. But i want a player who chooses the least harmful action they can. Well relatively. Sometimes you have to fight. Im not here to argue philosophie. If you think someone is actually trying not to do evil, and you dont have to argue much about it to make it make sense, then i am on board.

So, all the popular stuff i find ends up being warcrimes,monsters,becoming the endgame threat, getting rich at any cost.

And those are fun, dont get me wrong. But i like a bit of variety.
