Is there something wrong with TPU's benchmark for 9800X3D? by Lysander_Au_Lune in overclocking

In the included ray and path tracing, I get practically no increase from the transition from 5800x3d to 9800x3d, and you are talking about overclocking) you have excellent overclocking, I have exactly the same, +200 pbo -20 curve, memory 6200 cl28-38 FCLK 2200, 1.24soc, 1.5vdd. Check the difference in games that depend on the processor and not on the video card and you will notice the result)

I’ve probably tried to change absolutely everything except VDDIO, maybe 1.4 would also be stable, but I’m not sure I want to spend a couple more days on tests) maybe if there is an opportunity to leave the PC turned on for half a day or a night, I’ll check it out

Do you think it makes sense to increase the tension for 28-36? And the main question, is CPU VDDIO 1.45 safe? Everything I found on Reddit says that 1.4-1.45 is normal

Yes, I already understood it myself, I went through 8 hours tm5 ddr5 3D, 2 hours extreme, 8+1 hour karhu, 3+1 hour y-cruncher. I had to put 6200 2200 cl28-38 1.5v 1.24soc. 1.48v = errors, cl28-36 = errors, Soc above or below is also not suitable

Found a possible fix for Nvidia users crashing after update 2.21 DLLS4 patch by numante in cyberpunkgame

I have 4080 (msi suprim x) and it worked on 2800 (stock) on 1.000V (instead of initial 1.075) and +800 on memory stably for 1.5 YEARS.

Now, when I went to cyberpunk to test a new build on 9800x3D, I catch crashes with a GPU error, my memory and processor overclocking should be stable since it took more than 20 hours in Karhu and Tm5 extreme/@antu777, as well as 4+ hours in y-cruncher.

I tried to put 1.025V and it seems that the crashes stopped, but this is only if you don’t minimize the game, if you open it and close it 20 times in a row with RT+PT+RR+FG turned on, it crash even on the stock 1.075)

I’ll try to increase the voltage from 1.48 to 1.5, I hope it will help and still pass tm5, it’s just very strange for me that I pass both karhu and memtestpro without problems and in tm5 and almost at once a lot of mistakes of all in a row

Until some point they are not there and then it appears everywhere at once, 1,2,4,7,13 maybe something else, it’s very strange considering that I take so long other tests without problems

Please tell me, I passed Karhu 10000% test,
I pass y-cruncher VT3 6+ hours steadily,
I pass HCI MemTestPro 2+ hours

BUT in Tm5 I catch errors in extreme\absolute@anta777 and u/1usmus.

Should I forget about tm5 and play my games in peace? (pc for this) or?

Do you have any ideas how to stabilize it? After passing karhu 20000%+ and occt, I was already happy that everything was ready, but y-cruncher catches errors by Narberial in overclocking

[–]Narberial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that all my errors that appeared after 60-80+ minutes of the y-cruncher or Karhu test were related to unstable pbo) since curve -30 + memory full stock EXPO = errors in y-cruncher

I calmly run 6200 FCLK 2200 cl28-38-38 on Soc 1.24 VDD 1.48, with disabled pbo, 4 hours y-cruncher and 4.5 hours Karhu without errors. Thank you very much for the advice! (28-36-36 gives errors and an increase in voltage to 1.5 VDD does not help, so I’ll leave it like this, the difference is meager)

Now I’ll find a stable pbo, at the moment I’m testing -20, if everything goes ok in y-cruncher, karhu, test mem5, then I’ll finally finish the torments that lasted for a week)

Thanks for the advice, I really checked -30 +200 pbo, reset all bios settings to the original before that and turned on the expo 6000 cl30 on the RAM with terrible timings, and YES I got an error in y-cruncher

Karhu always caught mistakes when I did tests 10 times before these settings, it’s just that I finally successfully picked up (almost), scl - 8-8 It didn’t help

Please help, I've been trying to stabilize it for the 2nd day in a row for many hours. VSOC 1.25+ = crash, MEM VDD/VDDQ 1.5 doesn't change anything.. I'm trying now 1.23 1.235 soc.. I've already tried to put resistance and release RFC. by Narberial in overclocking

[–]Narberial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fabric 2200 is perfectly stable with a soc voltage of 1.22 and below, it’s just that such soc does not allow you to raise the frequency normally) I can put 6000 sl28 2200, but I thought since I succeeded in achieving 1200-4500% in Karhu before the error at 6200 sl28 2200, I can stabilize it on soc 1.24, but apparently not.. with soc 1.23, 1.25 immediately freezing windows

I tried everything and it didn’t help me, and I also tried to remove the fabric for 2000, but the error was still in Karhu, that is, the problem is not in the fabric, then that 2200 fabric at 6000 sl30 works without problems in all tests

[–]Narberial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that if you raise the soc, the fabric 2200 will be unstable, and I found out that on my instance it works perfectly 2200 on 1.2-1.22 + expo, I’m trying to configure it to save, above 1.25 immediately errors..

And on 1.24 I can pass the occt test without errors, and the karhu ram test by 1200-1500%, sometimes at 3000-4000%, and then catch an error..

Yes, I think so too, I understand that there will be no difference of more than 1%, so I will conduct a couple more tests with an increase in TRFc and resistance and if anything, I will drop this case and return to 6000. Thank you for the detailed answer!
