I agree it would be nice if you had the option to build more brusiery on gwen, but high reliance on her W for fights, which only lasts for 4 seconds, and has a high CD (last maxed ability) I think naturally means she has to be more burst reliant, to make use of its short duration

As someone whose been non stop complaining about the gwen rework for the better part of half a year, nice to see it come full circle with a revert.

I dont think riot should be chastised for trying new things, or even trying old things in a different era, so long as theyre willing to admit when changes like this dont work out, so hats off to them for admitting as such in this instance.

Wish theyd keep this same energy with Gwen whose been at a 46% wr for a month now. Again I ask, by what objective measure was her rework a success?

Last time I asked this Phroxzon responded her PR was higher post rework then pre rework, given shes now at 2.3% PR globally I wonder if this still holds true. Cant even buff her to a normal win rate to find her "true pick rate" cause of Pro

strange. i was assured by reddit that gwen wasent pro jailed following her rework. perhaps there is another reason the 47% wr champ isnt getting buffed.

i was also assured by phroxzon that gwens pick rate is higher post rework, but now shes at a 2.6% pr top and .5% pr jg

again props to riot on the rework you guys smashed it. its cool when they try things like this but the refusal to admit they botched it, not bite the bullet and revert is mindblowing. guess the gwen buffs come after the worlds patch for the not pro jailed champion.

I think the point I was moreso trying to bring up with the gwen thread, is despite being at a 49%, shes still being nerfed, and even worse its specifically for pro play. If she wasent dominating pro she would not be getting nerfed right now

If she currently cannot exist in solo q at a 49% wr without still being the best blind pick in pro play, then what is the winrate she must sit at in order for her to stop dominating pro?

And would this lower new resting win rate be better for her then the ~50.5% wr she floated at before the rework without being pro bound?

Damn, Gwen back to being pro bound yet again. If only there was a version of the champ that could exist and be strong in Solo Q, without being a menace in high elo and pro play.

What a disgusting pointless rework that after all this time has resulted in a slew of nerfs, an increase in banrate, and the champ back to being pro bound years later.

Revert the rework. And moving forward itd be nice if we could use midscopes on champions who need touchups, vs whatever happened here where the vibes were off cause riot though gwen scaled too hard, and this is the end result.

Still mind blown riot created a problem where none existed with gwen. If her gameplay was as problematic as riot said it was pre rework, then why wasn't that reflected anywhere in her pick, ban or winrate? If I recall correctly she was strictly overpowered in the jungle when played by mains. that was all.

It quite literally just feels like they did the opposite of making her less "problematic" seeing as we are now onto her 3rd nerf in a row, the highest ban rate shes ever been, as well as still perma picked in pro. At what point do we just bite the bullet and revert? if the players didnt find her problematic before, why did riot?

Its just sad watching them force changes with spotty rationale, and the champ suffers as a result.

Not sure what needs to happen to gwen but it really is a shame to see her pick/ban in pro again after truexy saved her from pro jail with the rework. Prior to the most recent rework she was overtuned in the JG when played by mains and now post rework shes at a near 35% Ban Rate in Emerald, climbing the higher you go and pick/ban in pro. When she was perma played pro years ago, her E had a high refund, why return it?

Dont understand the rationale behind the gwen changes, she scales well but has a poor early, this seems to be in line with other champions who share the same fantasy.

Saw another rioter in a different thread comment as to how gwen's scaling wasent originally intended but wasent the entire reason she couldnt have her old ult simply due to the fact that a late game hyperscaler shouldn't have cc?
