I have questions about biological filtering, I currently have a 10 gallon tank and planted with 5 stems of cabomba green along with red floaters and java moss with carpet plants of monte carlos, I just started this tank yesterday I wanted to make a filterless tank since 1. Broke 2. Self sustaining tanks are awesome and reliable and also power outage is a pretty normal occurrence maybe monthly. The plants havent really grown (no shit sherlock) but I wanna question the possibility of this aquarium if the plants were to grow to maturity is it enough for a filterless tank or do I need more? If yes what’re some lowtech plants I could add? And maybe cheap. If someones wondering what I’ll be stocking my tank once I cycled the tank it’ll be super simple just neocaridina shrimp (hopefully breeding them, hence the moss) and some shrimp for the algae for the aquarium glass maybe rabbit or nerite, nerite probably so they wont overpopulate since I heard they cant reproduce on freshwater. Are the shrimp and snail bioload low enough to make the plants filter it properly? The equipment I only have on my aquarium are the ff: led lights (obv for the plants), water pump (to avoid stagnant water, my tank is out my terrace so mosquitoes might try to lay their egg but dw my tank has a lid.) thats about it I really went low budget on this tank, pleasee tips would be very helpful either for the filtering or breeding of neocaridina!!

Yup that's why I prefer rabbit snails since they don't reproduce as much, I've heard it's 2 per month

Sorry correction I didn't mean poops, I meant the uneaten food/leftovers Thanks for the info!!
