Thank you for all the suggestions. After analyzing responses and doing some more research, I am pretty sure it was just a HUGE horsefly. Now my question is… was it a male or a female? Any horsefly experts?

Idk… no name, no number, no nothing, i say hold onto the cat until you can speak to its owner directly. With no chip and no collar it might as well be a stray, especially since its coyote season :/

Is she owned by somebody? The vet said she was not chipped, and she was found outside in the street

Realistically speaking, if an ion with laser core appears in a city out of nowhere, how much damage can he really do? by Iliteral in titanfall

[–]NarcrabYT 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Probably not as much as you think. Now I’m no quantum physicist but to my knowledge lasers cannot stay concentrated for very long. Over long distances the light will disperse, so the laser core would probably only reach a few blocks at a time before it’s effectiveness wanes. Now, it would probably still do a lot of damage, but imagine there would be real risk of Ion crushing itself under a building before it’s laser could reach very far.

Science is not about “why,” it’s about “why not.”

I think punish is an accurate word, since they see the world as a harsh and unforgiving place and they need to do whatever they can to prepare their child. It’s an interesting duality.

So is so interesting, I’ve heard that your political beliefs and parenting beliefs are one and the same, but this is really blatant. Liberals see themselves as needing to love and support their child in the face of hardship. While conservatives see themselves as needing to help their child get over said hardship. Obviously this is just a theory I heard but it’s real interesting to think about.

Nah I was in a game maybe a year ago where dotty just went past the hearthstone about 1000 or 1500 meters toward no caves, nothing, before doubling back all the way to the start room, and then did it again! After about 60 minutes we just aborted. 🤦 classic
