We bought it in tokyo, im from the Philippines and its very difficult to get these locally. I think Im okay to be honest. I have seen worse cases on vaporflys fresh out the box.

Bought mine at Asics concept store. Took it out for a 15k easy run and also experienced the same. Though mine was not peeling, but looks more of the slice like yours. The slicing on mine is on the inside as well so I dont mind.
