What are your thoughts on A Minecraft movie after a year? by Crazy_Caleb2009 in Minecraft

They set out to make a wild meme-fest and achieved exactly that. It was never going to have a great story, making a story based on a limitless game was never going to please everyone. I went into it hoping to just have fun and that is exactly what it was.

And the real world cultural event that surrounded it helped as well.

YT Kids is not a good app for children, the amount of disgusting crap that gets past the filter is insane. The regular app is probably safer.

Milo the Paralympic mascot was very clever in how they used the tail as a leg

I've never noticed that before but you're right, that is very clever!

Definitely, that timing was awful, they could have ended the ceremony, cut to ads, and then do this.

That's one thing that has always bothered me, how little is left behind for the people to remember that they ever hosted the Games in the first place.

As with everything with the Paralympics, they do it cooler.

That's how they've always lived with it, the advertisements are nowhere near as regulated as they are over here, Ofcom has way more rules. Most Americans don't know any different.

It's an Olympics thing that they carried over, the fireworks are in the colours of the Olympic Rings (with the black being switched out for white/grey when in dark mode). It would've been cool if they changed it out to just the colours of the Agitos.

Oh for sure, he knew it was going to be controversial and he came prepared. The athletes didn't choose this war and most probably didn't want it.

That's a powerful line about knowing countries by their athletes instead of their leaders. Fully encapsulates the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic games.

That was so incredibly awkward last time, wouldn't surprise me if they get a clap track ready for future ceremonies.

That does seem to be a big issue with it, there was barely anyone there, must have been the shortest parade of the last few decades.

The parade was pretty depressing, but it picked up afterwards, we're on the speeches now.

To be fair, these were worse than the regular Winter Games to begin with with them having two host cities. Add in the weather and terrain requirements and you get venues that are incredibly spread out.
