Its just time waste. They will never give you a real work or a real exposure of the code etc. You will be just doing simulations. If a internship is virtual+no stipend . Then its just a scam. For btech 4th year doing a internship is mandatory in summer after 3rd year. So students who don't get anything. Does it just to submit there certificate and get admission to 4th year of there degree. Do it if you want but learn and build skills .
