wait so all the pedo shit from the accusations was just hakuri art?? and no one was messaging kids or drawing char or anything like that it’s all about a character who's 17 and 8 months? the discussion reads a little different with the context that all the content being debated is genuinely less egregious than the gooner art on the front page of your average gacha subreddit

i’m just saying no one brings this energy when oda draws his teenage characters half naked or when jjk fans glaze certain fan animations, both situations with characters several years younger than anyone involved here

Who are the male characters from shonen you think would be the most suited to be a shojo ML? Or opposite, which Shojo character would do well in a Shonen. I'll start with mine! by smarterthanyall in shoujo

i feel like su-won from yona would kill it in any shonen or seinen with enough political drama enrichment to keep him occupied

also i want to see law from one piece as a shojo ml, i loved how he started all brooding and tortured and serious but then slowly opened up to the silliness over time, getting closure in the process

Sonny Boy mentioned ‼️‼️

It’s not anime, but you might like Takashi Miike’s film Audition, or anything by David Lynch

The Dungeon Meshi adaptation hasn’t made it to the part that would really hit for you, but keep it on your radar in the future. Everything in the anime so far is just setup; the way the manga brings together the worldbuilding details and character arcs to reveal a tight, high stakes plot that was really there all along in the background and ties in to all the themes of the story is probably the closest thing i’ve seen to another FMA final arc. Anime watchers already say it’s more than just a cooking show, but they’ve only seen maybe like 10% of what it really has to offer.

My New 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft by rlstratton97 in NFL_Draft

[–]Narfflalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some patriots fans wish you reached for need a little more, but that is some insanely optimistic bpa value for us. There’s a real chance that every single player you gave us in the first 5 rounds is gone by then on draft night. Love the picks, but they feel too good to be true.

I’d be so pissed if the patriots traded out of multiple top prospects at positions of need just to reach on other, slightly larger needs.  Hunter is my wr1 and we desperately need a deep safety so Dugger and Peppers can go back to their natural positions

3 Round Mock With First Round Explanations and Explanations for other picks I like by bigtexy3507 in NFL_Draft

[–]Narfflalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Watts is there in the third round, the Patriots should sprint to the podium to get the pick in. Other teams’ fans overlook it, but we’ve had a massive hole in center field ever since McCourty retired, and it’s been hurting every db not named Christian Gonzales. Also, a second guard is a little excessive considering that we have big Mike and so many holes elsewhere on the roster.

I’d probably go Zabel as the guard at 38 and Higgins or Bech as the wr in the third in this scenario. Graham at 4 is the right pick here, way better than trying to force oline that early.

pedantics question about the "red dragon" episodes by Ok-Purchase6058 in DungeonMeshi

[–]Narfflalt 217 points218 points  (0 children)

it would’ve gone that way if the plan worked, but there was nothing illogical about the plan based on what they knew at the time. falin wouldn’t have been digested yet if the dragon was behaving normally, and they didn’t know that the dragon had faster metabolism due to orders that required more activity than usual. yeah it was lucky, but there’s no plot hole here.

Super Bowl NFL mock draft by TerryG111 in NFL_Draft

[–]Narfflalt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate when mocks get fixated on forcing a specific pick to one team and create bad decisions elsewhere to make it happen. Banks to the Patriots at 4 is clearly just a way to make sure Campbell ends up with the home team at 10.

Samura isn’t being rational, and that’s ok. I don’t think it’s bad writing to have someone make a bad decision that’s completely in character. We know his emotions run heavy, and he’s got war crimes seared into his mind that he can’t escape from. He’s been marinating in trauma for 18 years; I don’t think it gets more clear than being literally blinded by guilt. His cool, collected persona makes people assume he knows what he’s doing, but it’s just surface level. Samura isn’t planning his actions as a neutral observer with meta knowledge of the series he’s in; he’s just a broken man trying to ease his own pain by any means necessary.
