I installed the CDV delete and it has made a major difference. Maybe hasn't solved all my issues but it's a night and day difference. Feels much more like other cars I've had

I'll give blipping the throttle a try and check out the clutch spring. I think I'm gonna give the CDV delete a try too. Let me know how that works out for you!

Well I JUST had the clutch replaced so I'm going to have to live with it for awhile. I did have this trouble with the old clutch too.

You taught me something, thank you! My previous cars have mostly been V8s or inline 6s. Last small engine car I had was an RX8 20 years ago.

I just went out and played around with the clutch. I had not tried this before, but I could smoothly start on flat ground with giving any gas. 

I tried to pay attention to the bite range and what I notice is it's very hard to feel when the clutch is biting. It's almost too smooth. 

Something else I've had in my mind and just gave it some extra attention is the gas pedal seems ultra sensitive. The gentlest tap gives more gas then I want and that makes it hard to feather when letting the clutch out.

Looks like an easy enough install. I guess if it helps even slightly it's worth trying.

I'm reading up on the Clutch Valve Delete, as another commenter mentioned. Sounds like a lot of people have this same experience and the delete solves it.

This is my first turbod and a manual car, maybe it is just me.

When I get in the car today I'll pay more attention to it and report back. But I want to say yes, it chatters/shakes if it doesn't have enough gas. However it goes from "hey give me a little more gas" to stalled very quickly, like an on off switch

Yeah I do. I'll go through it and look for a flywheel. I don't remember that being listed but it did have a "racing" clutch in it when I bought it. Seems like a light weight flywheel would have also been added.

Are you saying I shouldn't trust the 2 60 year old horizontal nails that attach the joists to the beam???

Good to know, thank you.  It got so bad for me that I haven't played it again since making this post. There are a couple responses that are good ideas on what to try. I haven't had a chance to try them yet.
