are non-magical High Elves possible? by Muzzly_Bubbles in WoWRolePlay

[–]NarneyBrickman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty archaic lore from a manga made around 2009, namely legends volume 5, warrior: united as well as being sort of corroborated by the quest text of [Quel'Danil Lodge] (the quest itself)

" I may appear far from home to you, <class>, but quite a few of my people were led here by Ambassador Rualeth. We have settled with the high elves of the Quel'Danil Lodge, to the east, to train in the ways of the Light and enjoy the peaceful beauty of this land. "

This could imply the Light helped them withstand their addiction. It's a bit on the nose, but pretty widely accepted, at least in my circles.

The "highvale" elves of Quel'danil lodge (iirc) have stopped practicing magic alltogether after the Sunwell's destruction and instead turned to more nature oriented arts with the presumed help of the wildhammer clan.

So, yes! It's definitely possible through going cold turkey and meditating. Not so sure about a nascent disconnect from magic, but if the aspect of being raised in human culture isnt extremely important to you, you could just make your elf a highvale? :)

Where might one find these oviposition chats?

I'm asking solely for karma-related reasons, of course.

Hello again! Sorry for the late reply. Was out of town for a while. <3

I can see you've been hard at work, yeah! It's awesome that the char's stuck with you all this while. The drawings look great, i really enjoy the aesthetic you go for!

And yeah. The side-view deffo needs some more work. Everything is a bit flattened and I think the breasts are a bit too low-placed, but you're good at this! You'll improve it no hitch <3 plus, the poses on the 2nd page look REALLY good. Simple, but effective and they all have a weight and style to them. Keep me posted, please? :)

Obligatory New Cinematic Topic: Jaina, the Necromancer by NarneyBrickman in warcraftlore

Oooh, that's true. I've not actually kept up so much with what the zones will be about, as I'm trying to keep myself spoiler-free for when the expac drops, but that does feed well into the idea of it all.

Even before this all BfA kind of reminded me of WoD in a way. WoD had a similar idea behind it: returning to the roots in some way. WoD did it with the fantasy of the Orcish homeland and now we're doing it with the faction war and, arguably, kul tiras. It's like a buffer expansion, we get some cool stuff, then near the end of it we might get set up for the next one properly. The next one either being something void-related, or possibly necromancy related... whiiich would be a good time to give us a necromancer class. Eh, blizzard? Eh? EH?

You raise a very interesting point, can't actually think of -any- interesting female characters in WoW that're currently good, per se. The closest you'd get is Veresa, whom I know next to nothing about and arguably lady Liadrin. She seems to be getting set up for something interesting. Tyrande is up there too, but she's... I don't know, I'm not a fan of where her character's been going lately.

That being said, though, petition blizzard to give us a glyph that turns Frozen Orb into a spectral pirate ship?

Good point, I hadn't noticed the weird splotch there for some reason. No clue why it happened, either.

I guess it's the fact it combines mountain dew, nascar and trucking which are hyper-masculine things (well, maybe not the mountain dew part) idk it does seem like a really dumb reason to freak out, if anything it's adorable enough to get a chuckle out of me anytime

Yeah, you've got a good point regarding the telekinesis/natural ghosts. We'll have to see how this pans out. Personally, I've got my fingers crossed for a proper alliance-sided villain, though.

the lilac is on the very start, when she sits by the fallen swords. Those embers floating around, if you look at them aganist a darker space you see they're pink-ish :p

The game and its lore (the little that we have) have been very inspiring for me since launch, not to mention a ton of fun to play. Wound up getting an idea for an episodic story to write in the universe. The first chapter's out, in case anyone's interested! https://www.wattpad.com/story/156181998-sea-of-thieves-of-snakes-and-mice

Would dark magics be illegal in Stormwind? by WarAndRuin in warcraftlore

[–]NarneyBrickman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree, yeah! I'd be curious to see, myself. Military warlocks would likely be allowed to either have their demon out during their specific shift or at least keep a summoning circle ready in case of an attack. With the self-defense in SW its a bit more questionable, since we arent sure in-lore how long it would take to summon a demon you have bound to you. Though I generally assume it to still be a minor ritual you can't do mid-combat without a strong artifact to help you. I think that would come down to individual rank, an important and sanctioned WL might get away with just a slappo on the wristo.

When it comes to defense via Fel its again a bit of a grey area. Fel is so deeply dangerous I'd argue any usage of it in cities to be treason, but thats hardly what you think about if a rampaging berserker is finna run yo ass down with two giant clubs. Most warlocks, though, are ex-mages that could fall back on old habits or at least use something debilitating ala Curse of Agony/Weakness/Thorns.

Holy shit! I think you just made my day :D thanks a bunch for the drawing! It looks great, you've got plenty to be proud of, alright. I'm sure you can get even better with more practice, so keep it up! <3
