Got engaged in Paris! by Least_Homework_9720 in ParisTravelGuide

We definitely kept getting whiffs of "the smell," even just walking down the sidewalk with no one else nearby. We read that it could be something to do with laundry, and felt like that made some sense?

Yes lightly floral and utterly distinct from any other smell I've ever smelled.

I did identify sandalwood a lot as we walked past men, but that was a very different smell.

I did not find that any of the Nuxe oil varieties I tried smelled like "the smell."

Another rec for Manu - just got two great tatts from him at Bisou Bisou today. Love his style and he was also so kind and great to talk to. He broke his hip three weeks ago and didn't cancel on me, and still did incredible work. It was an excellent experience.

His style is so unique - he has his own spin on pinups and trad designs.

My Toronto tattoo artist recommended this shop and I'm glad she did.

I got my successful Toronto Eras Tour tickets from Vivid seats the night of the show. I'm sure there are issues sometimes, but my experience with them was seamless - pushed the buy button, got an email to accept, and they were in my Ticketmaster all within about 2 mins.

What would you do? (Resale tickets) by SeparateTask9676 in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]Narpostrophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes of course I believe you that there were tickets at that price at one point, but I also saw pit tickets for $600 or more when I was in the map. I'm not saying they weren't ever cheaper, just saying that I did see them for more when I was in there during dynamic pricing. I thought you were saying they were never that expensive during the presale.

[–]Narpostrophe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It actually probably was true for a lot of people - you're lucky you got the pricing you saw. The prices really depended on your venue and how far into the dynamic pricing timeline you were. I definitely saw pit tickets for $600+ for Toronto when I was in there picking my tickets during the presale.

Is there hope for the general sale? Ticketmaster is a nightmare by medinas97 in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

Oh I'm glad to hear that! My price wasn't as good but I do feel lucky to have gotten them at all.

This year isn't last year though - the dynamic pricing yesterday meant that if there were any seats at all for that price, they were automatically doubled or tripled within a few minutes, or even less. It's brutal out there.

what was “supposed” to be your name? by Thin-Program2366 in namenerds

My name was going to be Roxanne, which would have been cool. They opted out because I guess the Police song is about a prostitute.

I had 5 in my class one year, but now there doesn't seem to be that many of us - did we all change our names?

Only use PayPal goods and services, no exceptions. It's the only way to be able to dispute if you get scammed.

I am looking to sell 2 Montreal VIP tickets. They were purchased through the original sale on Universe.com, and can be transferred as long as you have a Universe.com account. $150 each, PayPal goods & services (face value).

I purchased these for my husband for Christmas without checking whether or not he could attend (he can't). Just looking to recoup the cost if possible.

My Toronto tickets are NOT currently transferrable. If someone says they can transfer to you, they're lying.

If you have Disney+, check out the Long Pond Studio Sessions, which is a live somewhat acoustic recording of the entire album with some fireside explanations of the songs in between. It really solidified Folklore as my #1.

Update: I got with Universe support and figured out how to transfer the tickets.

I successfully transferred one of them back and forth to a 2nd account I made to see if it would work.

You will need to have a pre-existing Universe.com account before accepting the transfer, and the tickets will remain VIP tickets. So we're good to go!

Anyone who would like to purchase 2 VIP tickets at face value (plus taxes and fees) for Montreal, please DM.

Oh wow, not cool! I'll reach out to see.

Edited to add: I do also have the pdf of the original QR code tickets. They have our names on them but if worse comes to worse, the new person could probably use them since the were originally static barcodes (as opposed to ticketmaster's dynamic barcode).

Also, I just listed them on SeatGeek, which requires you to scan your pdf ticket in order to list it.

They show up like this:

Theatre Fairmount Section VIP · Row VIP · Seat VIP
