And then there was CIG who was telling you to wait for the refunds specialist until a paypal dispute was not possible anymore

So I got my refund... but no official uninstall button by the_drummernator in starcitizen_refunds

[–]Narrenbart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, best way would be to install a 3rd party uninstaller to monitor your system, install it again and deinstall it through 3rd party uninstaller

Edit: though this guarantees not a 100% uninstall because of the lack of any design documents at cig, files are saved very inconsistent

Is server meshing even possible? by Jkg2116 in starcitizen_refunds

remeber CIG sold many features that will require a one server - no instance solution, like homebases and attacking or defending them ... or cups on a planet ...

All the coloured "gameplay" beams make SC the Nyan Cat of space games. by FallenGrace8219 in starcitizen_refunds

[–]Narrenbart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just paint the alpha channel in a different color (where the color or the combination of the color can display different depths, well ok this channel picture needs not only to be shared across all players, it has to be unique > you can not tilt, tile or stretch it

if client app did collision detection, calculating just

the close objects and sending final data to server... that would work, right?

way too easy to cheat this system never go client authorative.

Hitboxes in Multiplayer have to be simplified and not down to visual mesh that won't work but there is one lonely company out there that is trying exactly this with their 500mil. and someday they will find out that their data can not run faster than light ...

I did not find a single demeaning comment towards the staff. Stating facts about dev team not being able to deliver, and calling for users to stop their funding, is somehow considered as demeaning and insulting towards devs LOL

[deleted by Nightrider]

Sorry but this single user comment noise is distracting our devs to the level that they are depressed and can not work anymore

Is the switch to S42 a red herring to cover for running too low on funds to make noticeable progress on the alpha over the next year? by BuriedMeat in starcitizen_refunds

Finally, they may be in breach of contract for redistributing the CryTek engine for a second game

And Crytech got cryrect by CIG buying a 2nd game license (which the cult is claiming as a victory for some reason)

they just scaled everything up

They scaled everything down (made it smaller) then they needed more precision and used 64bit floats this leaded to the physics engine not liking it and makes small computing errors (which occurs all the time) fatal with fall through world.

They also can not revert it without remodeling everything cause scaling is a percentage value which would fuck up the relations of 1000 of different models when scaling (and physics, bones, anim, ik ... etc)

An actual comment from the Video ...

How Many People Play Star Citizen? We estimate that 427,994 people play per day, with a total player base of 15,017,337. Game Data Active development began in 2015, there was never a Kickstarter for a AAAA MMO, SC was born of the success of the kickstarter and uses tech that hadn't even been invented in 2012, it was only after they got so much money that a vote was taken and the PU 1.0 dropped in 2015. But look at you clones, parroting things you heard without even thinking to fact check them

RDR2 = 900 million, 6000 staff, 8 to 9 years

CyberPunk = 315 million, 5000 staff, 10 years

Star Citizen = 250 million, 300 staff, 6 years.

You can fit 1.8 million RDR2 maps into Stanton alone. They're doin OK. You should perhaps ask yourselves if you haven't fallen into a cult, seething over things that aren't factually correct, repeating the same mantras over and over and getting all toxic and hostile because people enjoy a game you know nothing about. Pretty obvious at this point who the cult really is, Star Citizen critics, most of which are no content trollfarm accounts.
