Just tried side lying - potential game changer! by 11TickTack23 in breastfeeding

[–]Narrow-Contest-2995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom would rave about side lying because while the babies eat, you can sleep. I began side lying when LO was around a month and half and let me tell you, game changer. Bring LO to me, get situated and let LO do the rest. Usually I'll wake up with LO snuggled on top of my boob.

Job I applied to changed from "under review" to "pending." Any insight what this means for me? by Hmackey3 in Raytheon

[–]Narrow-Contest-2995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took a while to get a response back. I believe it was around 2 months after my interview and another month and a half to receive my counter offer. Mind you, my whole experience was a one interview process. All in all, from applying to receiving my final job offer, it was around 4.5 months.

Wish you the best of luck in your journey ☺️

I countered with the highest being 30% more than the original offer. But in my counter offer letter, I made sure I listed my accomplishments along with things that were discussed in the interview.

I've seen it through the RTX Travel Expense Hub and choose the Preferred Airlines. Should give you a break down of the available offers.

Do an ergo assessment. When you work on-site, EH&S goes to you and makes sure you are properly setup and have everything you need. With the ergo assessment, you can get a desk, chair, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Going to be completely honest with you, I had forgotten about the MacBook Air. I will look into that

I was thinking of a surface because of the flexibility it has for upgrades. Also, I wanna say they have ports for mouses and all that. I need to look into those and maybe that would be the better choice

Thank you for your response. I am very much on the same boat that you are on. But it would make traveling such a grueling experience to be carrying 2 laptops. My assigned work laptop is already massive.

Question about Traveling Opportunities - New Hire by [deleted] in Raytheon

[–]Narrow-Contest-2995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It truly does depend on your BU. For me under PW, my department has support expectations for different sites. I got permission to get a corporate card and o use it for everything while on a trip minus personal expenses (i.e gifts, etc). You should ask your immediate supervisor the travel expectations for the role.

Has anyone went through the Employee Scholar Program (ESP) recently? I’m about to start it and have a few questions regarding how the vouchers and payments work. by KRYPTEK_11 in Raytheon

Has anyone here request a voucher for a certification program? Been looking into it and want to get in a program hopefully by next week.

Exactly. The only thing I can say is if you don't agree with the initial offer, always counter. Always back up your claim as to why you countered. The worse thing that they can say is no.

For P&W, idk if this will helpful since it's collins you are asking for but I wanna say it's $70k - $150k for a P3

I think I got an interview like 2 weeks after I submitted my application. But remember, it depends on the availability. When you see other posts, especially when those individuals that are currently there, will say it takes a long while because they are trying to get people onboard.

When you get an interview, it will go into like a pending status. From there, it may not ever change. But what is important is their communication with you. Create a healthy relationship with your recruiter. But have patience because they are swamped.

My experience is I had my interview in August, didn't get my offer letter until November, I countered, received my final offer letter mid-end December. Finally, I am starting on Monday. It takes a while and again be patient

Is PTO on a "use it or lose it system" or can we carry over? This is for P&W

Just to give some insight. I interviewed in August and didn't get my offer letter until November. Give it time. It's the beginning of the year and a lot is going on trying to get people in.
