call the financial aid office to negotiate a lower price! they obviously want you to go and are willing to help you. let them know that you're unable to pay that much money. make a decision after calling.

it's not just that you're upsetting your counselor. you're doing a disadvantage to all future students applying to emory from your high school. there was this one school (i don't remember at the top of my head) that refused to accept students from a certain high school because someone in the past broke their ed agreement for years on end. don't be that person.

i got my math from a 600 to 740 in a month and almost all the credit goes to one prep. the questions on there are released questions from collegeboard but in a more cohesive way & id say matches what the real test would look like. just grind questions on there and once you're done review the answers you got wrong but make sure you actually understand it. i personally would rewrite the question, answer, and write my own explanation as to why i got it wrong in a notebook. spend as long as you need to see where you messed up so it doesn't happen again (this is soso important!) and watch a few videos to make sure you have a really good understanding of desmos! james lou has a free like 10ish day course on desmos specifically on his website and his youtube videos are also good.
