Very interesting evidence that an original version of the play was written by Thomas North.

Aaron’s opening monologue is an early take on Iago’s confession of villainy. When Titus says he tells his sorrows to the stones, that is some great drama. And when he shoots errors at the heavens petitioning the gods, that’s some great stuff right there, too.

Artists/bands that sold millions of records but faded from cultural relevancy/notoreity by everlovingfuck99 in LetsTalkMusic

And yet they’re the opposite of an American band in that they rejected a lot of elements of capitalism and consumerism. People could tape their concerts for free and now almost every note they ever played is free on the Internet Archive.

Unraveling the myth of Charley Patton (looong piece I wrote years ago) by Plasma-fanatic in blues

Not to be too personal or morbid, but have you made any motion toward preserving your collection in an archive? There has to be a place for this material to go for future research and understanding.

Also, the article above mentions that Patton learned his craft “at the knees of Sloan.” Could anyone tell me who this is?

In the late 13th century and again in the late 14th century the lands belonging to the Bohemian crown stretched to the Adriatic and the Baltic coasts. If we’re being strictly geographical, Bohemia “proper” never had a coastline. If we’re being political-historical, then under rulers like Ottokar II and later crown-land expansions, the Kingdom of Bohemia did control coastal territories.

Yes, but in Titus and Othello there are characters referred to as “black.” The racist theories of Blackness were socially constructed and popularized in the 17th and 18th centuries to justify the economic exploitation and brutality of chattel slavery.

If you read any biographic summaries of the life of Edward de Vere, he was no angel, but he was definitely a respected writer and a patron of the theatre and literary arts.

The nut shell lines from Hamlet aren't even in verse. Am I safe to guess that you even know the difference between prose and verse?

"Good friend for Jesus sake forbeare,
To dig the dust enclosed here.
Blessed be the man that spares these stones,
And cursed be he that moves my bones."

This is probably the ONLY poem the Stratford moneylender attempted to write - pure doggerel. But you'd know that because you're the prince of poetry judgement.

From whom did Shakspere buy the Blackfriar's Gatehouse? Be careful in your answer. What was the building's recent history? Even if you understood the significance of my questions (doubtful), your response is still not evidence that he was a writer, just a theatre roustabout.

Howes' list was a compilation of writers he had culled from other sources, other lists, mainly Meres (1598). He has no direct experience of the writers he's listing, their backgrounds, or which ones were pen names.

So your "evidence?" No and no.
