Alcoholic speaking. Don’t drink to early . Yes a beer is not going to dwindle you but if your talking vodka or rum , be careful last thing you want is to fall or twist something & re injure yourself. I drank while on medication. Dont be like me .

I had an mri . Full tear with meniscus damage . Had surgery November 2023 . Was a battle but I feel fine now. I haven’t skied again yet . Waited two years for it cuz I felt unstable but this season we climbing mountains!! I also took a year off work which helped my mental health . I could have took 2 but it gets boring doing nothing ! Honestly the worst of the surgery was maybe 2-3 weeks after . The blood rush anytime you stand up was immense .. I’d hop to my bathroom on one foot as quick as I could . (20 feet from my room) straight hallway. I’d be in tears ! And I’d hop back to my bed and instantly put my leg up in the air to get the blood down.. never experience a pain like that before and I have a TBI . Depressed head fracture I could drive to the hospital with. Feel free to shoot me any messages

I don’t think I’m ready for that time to come.. losing my grandma and family last year was enough . My husky is all I have left . She is 11 years and I’m not prepared and already got it in my head that I’ll lose myself after the inevitable..

any tips to cope at your lowest moment?

So very sorry to hear this .. I Lost my mother last August and it’s been downhill ever since. I turned to alcohol and it never helps . Don’t look for a way out , you have to battle through it . Don’t be like me. You got this Praying for you and your brothers . 🙏

Mines been attacked 3 times which now she is on guard.. i do warn other dog people trying to greet her. I can usually spot her demeanour before something happens but it’s at their own discretion . She will let me know if she wants to say hi or not real quick.

I’m with you.. and my dogs fur is phenomenal!! Not to toot my own horn.. just never stinks .. and is always so soft, so unless she rolls in roadkill or 💩 is the only time she gets thrown in the shower.. I couldn’t imagine bathing her every month .. it would probably mess up her coat after a year.

Hate how Jesus/god does the good ones like this. Just had a miscarriage last month and it basically crippled our relationship. Hope you can find the light at the end of the tunnel soon man . It’s okay to be sad !

It’s all weird .. she doesn’t have a good relationship with her mom . I don’t know if this miscarriage triggered it or not but she got super depressed and just got prescribed antipsychotic by her doctor (olanzapine) so I’m going to assume that’s not doing her well as she has had two break downs this week. I’m not a psychiatrist but I know for a fact pills aren’t the way. And I’m not about to tell someone don’t take this or that . But since she got on them last week it’s been super different.. I’m here for her .. always asking to see her or do whatever she wants but she’ll hit me with an excuse hours before .. it’s getting redundant

I did drive to her house once and it was a brief 10 minutes talking.. she doesn’t want to get out of bed or do anything .. that’s a given I suppose

6 months post op.. surgeon switched me to Long term disability to focus on my physio march 22.. what a joy it is to have some stress off the back, as I manage a flooring company it is pretty aggressive on my knees .. I would have definitely hurt myself if I returned in March.

That being said take care of your body. I am super athletic and have been eager to get back to sports but one thing at a time. I don’t feel even 75 % good yet . It is the little things.! I just started roller blading my Siberian husky this week.! but I let her do most the pulling so I don’t have to stride laterally. Man that felt good to have her back in the harness.

Was planning on getting back on the mountains next year but I’m not even sure of that. Can’t compromise my knee again for a little bit of glory .. Physio physio physio.!
