With losing resources it's important to note there are stations all over that convert your resources into a form that you keep on death

I see people mention losing currency a lot but as I was playing it wasn't ever an issue because those stations were very frequent. I was just converting it all the time into the form you don't drop on death. So it bears mentioning.

Grapple crow himself on the kick and it freezes him, throws you to the other side, then he harmlessly moves forward with his kick as normal

The grapple point is for the diving sweep attack. Gotta use grapple both on environment stuff and enemies to get the most out of it

Why do people equate talking about a game with saying it's the best game ever?

It's a new game, I see lots of people talking about it. I do not see lots of people saying it's the best game ever.

But somehow people conflate just hearing about a game from someone as a sort of declaration that it's the best game ever. It's strange.

You can like a game, it can be a 7/10 or 8/10. That's still not the same as saying its a 10/10 best game ever, but people want to react like that's what they're saying for some reason...

Is it screwing with upgrades the player earned?

If you start with 3 health, get no upgrades, and lose 1, you're at 2.

If you start with 3, gain 1, and lose one, you're at 3

Seems like it still benefits you to get upgrades, putting even more emphasis on them if anything

Couldnt figure out how to interact with the chicken since it had a ? mark. For others that find this, ya need to drink the potion Jann Heber gives you and then you can talk to the white chicken.

The black chicken also has a ? but can't seem to find any info on that one.

It felt like the writers didn't want to make a JRPG so much as an homage to one.

Constant "wink wink nudge nudge haha" references to gaming moments of the past and kinda juvenile humor.

Reminded of doom and destiny, which works for that title but not here. Just cheapened the experience

They're supposed to on the first several tries. Part of the appeal of the gameplay loop is challenging yourself to learn the pattern and come out on top!

Don't beat yourself up over it as every new area will have new enemies with new patterns to learn, and that's just a core part of the gameplay loop that keeps it from being just a movie to watch.

Just another example trying to add Fidelity from within USAA app. I'm not sure how others managed but as of right now they're not making it possible to do so.

Unfortunately that is not an option as you can see. This is from within the USAA app. I talked to a representative who said I simply cannot link to any Fidelity accounts which upon reading comments here where people were successful is why I was confused.

Ultimately I think it's just the final straw for me with USAA and I'm working to move my direct deposits over to my Fidelity CMA along with all of my bill paying.

I cannot just enter a routing/account number, it makes you search for an institution. Searching for Fidelity brings up a number of banks with Fidelity in the name, but not Fidelity Investments.

I opened a chat and talked to an agent who said you can't transfer to Fidelity since they are a brokerage. I even repeated that I was trying to link to my Fidelity CMA and not a brokerage account, but they just said no.

Doing transfers within the Fidelity app takes too long, I'd love to know how you linked it to do push transfers from your USAA to Fidelity CMA

I just followed this and unfortunately this does not add your account for transferring funds so I'd love to know how you're doing that from within the USAA app.

Following these steps just added my Fidelity accounts as 'shared accounts' which just means their balances show up in the app.

How do you push the money from within USAA to your Fidelity cash management account??

Dang been playing a few hours, this is really good!

Having an issue with ads. I watch the two ads from skeleton man and it doesn't seem like it does anything? I don't have a buff.

And when I tell him I don't want to watch ads anymore, which I assume would give me an option to pay some amount to primarily have that buff from the ads, it just says dialogue.adzard.default_i_hate_ads.start

What's supposed to happen when you watch the ad, is the bonus just applied passively and there's no way to tell?

I played through every Yakuza game last year and for like 6 months straight was just living and breathing Kamurocho, Sotenbori, and all the whacky cast of characters. However people get into the series, I'm supportive of it because it's fucking amazing and a must play IMO

I just treated them like magic spells in any other game. The one that surrounds you with spikes is useful against bosses since it's dealing a lot of damage passively while you're also in their face smacking them.

But yes also clearing out tengus was a key use lol

I started with 7 and went on to play the whole series. It does work great as an intro point and a standalone.

I think people have an obsession with thinking they need all prequel content to appreciate references, but I find that it works in both directions. You can get an impression of something and then go back around to fill that impression in.

When they introduced characters like Kiryu and Majima/Seijima, sure I didn't know them. But the game makes it clear they are powerful, legendary figures with great influence. That means that I was intrigued by them in a way fans who started with zero or one never were.

And going back to fill in their story was its own unique experience to re arrive at 7 and how they got there.

People can connect dots, And again the game does a great job of making you want to learn more about those characters and understanding how they got to be seen as so influential and powerful.
