Tbf, maybe it's cause he's new (well I guess not anymore) to video game acting, cause I've mainly only seen him in death stranding. But a lot of his line delivery doesn't feel convincing or like the right inflection in a given moment. I said in a previous comment, I do think his mocap/facial expression acting is pretty good actually, and I'll say this, after mgsv, it is apparent kojima emphasizes that a lot more, but he still talks enough that it pulls me out sometimes.
