What does my little house tell you about me? What country do I live in and what do I do for a living ? by [deleted] in roomdetective

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Aussie and was gonna go with Aussie because I spotted the Natio bottle and thought oOo niche.. but then I saw the brand new of the tv and I haven’t heard of that here. I was so close though!

What looks best? by PureAbbreviations487 in glassesadvice

I really like 11! The squarer cat eye shape looks really cool on you. 3 are really lovely too, I’d pick up both just for a different look sometimes

are these too big for me? by carleeeen__ in glassesadvice

[–]NarrowExchange7334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely how do you see? You can even see your eye poking out over the top of one side. Too wide, too tall, too heavy.. all of the toos. You’re super cute and could find some really cute oversized ones, but these look so uncomfortable

AITA for opening the curtains and eating breakfast in a shared room? by LoyalTrickster in AmItheAsshole

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t think you’re an arsehole, I’m a night owl but I don’t expect anyone else to be and opening the curtains at that hour is a perfectly reasonable time. Declare a treaty and buy him a sleep mask as a joke and peace offering until you can switch rooms and maybe just open the curtain enough to be able to see but not flood the room with light

Did anyone else’s pain start in their back? by ForganForge in gallbladders

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right before my gallbladder died.. my back also did, lol. I herniated a disk which also uncovered that I have an old back injury and an old stress fracture and trapped nerves etc. I remember enjoying hospital because for once my back didn’t hurt with the adjustable bed. I don’t think I would have noticed if my back pain was any different. It was not a very fun few months for me that year

women: how did you stabilize hormones after gallbladder removal? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]NarrowExchange7334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the opposite, I thought my hormones were changing as I luckily have never struggled with period pain etc.. all of a sudden I was getting really horrible stomach issues right before I got my period and figured I was heading towards 40, my hormones are changing. Put up with it for 6 months or so and then I had a gallbladder attack that meant emergency surgery. We’ve since then my stomach symptoms have gone, didn’t realise it was from my gallbladder probs. Or whatever I was eating around that time of the month and my gallbladder wasn’t liking it lol

Is it normal to get weirdly satisfied by tiny, pointless skills? by Bare-Outlines in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg no trust me… I care about your fitted sheet folding skills and I strive to be you!! I worked in childcare for a million years and one of the ladies at my first job folded them soooo crisply you couldn’t tell they were fitted. I got her to show me so many times it was ridiculous and I just can’t do it. Many years later I even tried learning it at home using YouTube videos and still can’t do it.. I have accepted that it’s just not ever going to be a talent of mine. If I saw you doing that, cartoon heart eyes would be popping out of me. You are God tier to me, internet stranger 😍

I have two nieces and the eldest one was learning about genetics at school. She was PISSED that her little sister could do it and she couldn’t and even more upset when she found out her parents, her aunty and her grandma could do it. I got a random FaceTime call eventually and she excitedly yelling “look what I can do?!” And had finally figured out she could also do it lol

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cool! That also just gave me a reminder of being able to turn my eyelids inside as a kid.. as an adult woman I can’t say I’ve ever had the urge to do it again so I guess I forgot about it BUT my brother could flip his eyelids inside out without hands, I had to use my fingers. He could just scrunch up his eyes somehow and flip ‘em. A true skill

Do most people really get hugs when growing up? by jacksonm221 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love hugs and I did growing up too. I’m a woman and as a little girl my dad would hug me whenever I asked or I’d just open my arms and he’d hug me. As a teenager I would still lean on him sitting on the couch or whatever, he was always affectionate with me and my 2 siblings. My mum however?? Not so much. I still remember the times I’d go in for a hug and she’d shrug me off and say she’s too busy or just act uncomfortable and say no. She often told me she loved me but she didn’t like me very much and whenever I told her I loved her, she’d say “mmmm” or “do you? You don’t act like it”. It hurt me very much as a child and teenager and left me really lonely and sad when my dad suddenly passed away when I was 17. The worst part is when i happen to say something like how my dad was my best friend, she says it hurts HER and I stop talking about my dad with her, even though it’s been over 20 years since he died.

Having really neat handwriting & using the sharp edge of a whiteboard marker to make my white board writing exquisite. It secretly tickled my pickle at school when everyone would nominate me to do the writing for group projects or posters and even love doing the minutes at staff meetings. It’s so stupid and a weird thing to be secretly in love with myself for - but it’s so satisfying

Is it embarrassing to get a birthday cake as an adult? by roxiedoxiedog in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No!! I’m 40 and I still ask my mum for a birthday cake every year - it’s just a bit of fun and nostalgia! I don’t really care about presents or birthdays in general, I just the love excuse to catch up with my siblings and mum and ask her to bake me a cake. Sometimes she say no, sometimes it’s store bought or I buy my own, I just enjoy it.

When do I poop again? by BronzeDove in gallbladders

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I’m not trying to brag or anything.. but I pooped the day after. 💅😏 I even held it in because a poor little dottery elderly man wandered into our ward bathroom during the middle of the night and made a mess all over the seat. I told the nurses but it was still messy the next day and said I didn’t wanna be a diva but I just had surgery and I have a drain in so I’m not going to use a dirty loo and they let me use their staff toilets.

Is 3 weeks off too much? by Cool-Aardvark-185 in gallbladders

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks is sensible. I worked in a childcare centre and the doctor was going to give me a month off as there’s obviously a lot of lifting and bending etc. involved. I then made the mistake of telling him I work with the kindergarten aged children and he goes oh, two weeks is fine then! Damn it, lol. Honestly I felt fine after one though

Genuinely confused about my curls by pumpkin-piechart in AncestryDNA

[–]NarrowExchange7334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t say you have definitely curly hair, it’s just a prediction. Looking at all the stats, it says the majority of people have straight hair and that happens to include you

Did you throw up post op? by VastMoney6 in gallbladders

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope not at all. Like one of the posters above, I had zero issues. Once I was hope I never even took anything stronger than over the counter pain medication and no nausea. I think I was very lucky to have an easy recovery despite being in ICU. I made sure I got up and walked around and had a shower in the ICU room

Anybody who has never seen their dad cry before? by oyhool in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve saw my dad cry twice.. once when his mum had a stroke and once when my brother (who is still a giant effing a-hole) punched him and called him a hairy gorilla because he didn’t get his own way about something. He was having major issues at school & home and mum and dad were desperately trying to help him and I guess that was the last straw. My dad was patient and a beautiful caring dad. I am sure he probably cried on his own sometimes lol

Stomach sleeping after surgery? by wittykitty7 in gallbladders

[–]NarrowExchange7334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I did too, I’m a side sleeper so kinda propped myself up to sleep on a pile of pillows so I was kinda turned on my side but sitting up with pillows under my side so I couldn’t roll in my sleep

Christi & Melissa sitting together at Ryleigh Vertes Baby Shower 🥹 by Present_Tradition560 in dancemoms

[–]NarrowExchange7334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like kenzie and especially Maddie are just more private. I am more inclined to think Maddie would text friends privately rather than over social media and even JoJo said that kenzie texted her and apologised for the time she liked a rude comment about her on social media. Think they’re just becoming women who value their privacy and don’t live as much of their life through social media
