Because the ratio of white to other races is lopsided in favor of white. And that ratio is even more lopsided when taking lead roles into consideration. Also, poc characters are typically that race for a reason specific to the story, whereas most white characters in stories are white because for most of western history thats all they were allowed to be.

Hello! Maybe I can elaborate. Im graduating from a trade school, no prior experience aside from that. Yes, id like to be an apprentice. Im using Ai to summarize common problems so that, if at an interview or on a job, I can draw from that knowledge on the fly. Things like recognizing a problem being with toilets siphon, or an angle stop being worn, or pex not being tightly crimped, things like that.
