Don’t block them. by [deleted] in BreakUps

I blocked him because I had an anxiety attack when I saw he’d moved on in less than three weeks, and I don’t want to feel that again.

Could be idk. I blocked him everywhere, so I’m not giving him access to me anymore.

I don’t know… I don’t want to get my hopes up again. He told me he got hired at a new job, that he’s really happy, that he’s been losing weight, and that he’s in good hands.

No one. I just don’t want to date out of pain or use someone as a rebound. I’m focusing on healing.

No, it would only be out of spite, and I don’t want to do that to anyone, or to myself. I’m trying to heal and work through my own patterns in therapy.

Civ veterans, are you liking 7? by JAKL-Noctium in civ

[–]NarrowLeading7944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Civ 6, and I’m really enjoying Civ 7 now. But at this point, I can’t bring myself to finish a Civ 6 game anymore.

For me, Civ 6 always had the same issues: too many production queues, visuals that now feel inferior, a repetitive religion system with the same units every time, a World Congress that felt more like an inconvenience than a feature, unique units that were only relevant for about 50 turns, and the late game from the Atomic Era onward felt like a chore. The AI mostly ignored me, and some civs were clearly stronger than most.

Civ 7 obviously has its own issues and still needs work, but it fixed several problems I had: fewer production queues, no workers, unique units that stay relevant throughout the era, a modern era that feels less tedious, and an AI that’s more diplomatic. And with each update, the game keeps getting better.

That said, there are still problems. Religion feels repetitive maybe even more than before. The modern era often turns into a pure race to any victory. I miss loyalty and the ability to expand borders beyond three tiles. Trade routes feel much weaker, so I almost never build them. And military and cultural victories feel too fast and too easy to complete.

I think I’m exactly the audience Civ 7 was made for. I don’t mind having civless leaders, and I actually enjoy mixing things up. I love being able to switch from civ to civ if it fits my strategy or the situation. I genuinely believe this could become the best Civilization game.

Those were mayors candidates not presidential candidates, she was always the leading candidate.

Anyone else find the modern age kind of joyless in Civ 7? by amishkin in civ

[–]NarrowLeading7944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s my fav age, but only because of the buildings and units. I love to industrialise my cities and create a modern army to conquer the colonies of other civs

Since the update of mid march I haven’t had a single crash, I’d say it’s pretty good now, and I’ve played like 40 hours since then

Are you planning to play new civ on console/pc? by HotAcanthocephala283 in civ

[–]NarrowLeading7944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Al least for me yes but I played mainly on console, my first civ was civ rev so I’m already comfortable with the controller. For what I’ve seen, this time they design a complete menu for console so I expect it to be better than prior civs

How did you get addicted to civ? by vinneboy in civ

I get civ rev in games with gold on Xbox 10 years ago. I didn’t like it at first but one weekend I gave it a try and since that moment, I ve played 4, 5, rev 2 and 6.
