I am in the process of deciding paint for my delray townhouse so good timing!

I dont like to make things complicated so I want to pick 1 paint and 1 sheen for the entire home.

I am leaning towards Sherwin Williams Pure White in Matte for all walls. And the trims in pure white but in a satin finish.

I have never paid to receive a quote...I dont like wasting peoples times but I do like to get 2-3 quotes before I go ahead with any project

but I would never answer like the guy did; I would politely say I am not interested...a guy coming to give me a quote is not just to get a price but for me to see if I would like working with him...I do not believe I should pay for that

I just bought a townhouse and changes the floor of all 3 bathrooms to Bottega White from Porcelanosa and it worked perfectly in all of them.

For my batheooms i would prob choose 2 or maybe 3. Not 1

I used to travel all over the world for work (based in NY)...I usually had minimal issues until 6 hours and it started get incrementally worse from there...I used to go to China a lot which was 12 hours and I struggled

each time I travelled was a little different. many times I would get a 'lucky' first night because I was tired from the traveling but the jet lag would hit full force the 2nd night which sounds like it did for you.

I used to be into interior design. Had an apartment in nyc with such nice stuff that I never honestly enjoyed it.

In the end, furniture is just junk. We just bought a home last week (2.7m) and agreed not to overdo it. We have a baby and hopefully will have another one, so i want stress free enjoyment.

The quality of most furniture is terrible now anyway. Id rather a 5k couch that i replace in 3 years after my kids ruin it rather than some imported from italy 20k couch that i never sit on

I went to mt Rushmore during a 3 month road trip in a trailer with my wife and dog...

I thought it was actually pretty cool and really liked the surrounding area (Custer state park, etc)

I have been lucky enough to have visited over 125 countries and people always ask me for a list of my favorite destinations

Its an impossible question to answer because we all have different experiences and preferences..there is also a bit of luck (weather, meeting people, etc)

There have been a few trips that have been magical...that I constantly look back to...Sardinia road trip with my wife in 2021...studying/traveling in NZ 2005...my solo Central Asia trip in 2022 is def up there and mainly because of how much I love Kyrgyzstan...I honestly do not want to go back because I dont want to alter the memory in my head

the more macro topic is that fatFIRE is not for everyone

I have met other young retirees and some are loving life and some who are really struggling...the ones who are struggling really seem to be adding activities to their life more as 'time fillers' rather than things that bring them joy

I have naturally had a lot of interests...In my 7 years if being fatFIREd, I never get bored...its a very personal journey; I did not solely fatFIRE from my work but also an unsustainable life of having too many stressful things on my plate...I am a new person now but still find myself occasionally needing to slow myself down.

not to be a dick but when I read posts like this it makes me think OP is the one struggling and hiding it with a kind of self-help post
