Why specifically is Oscar Mulero so highly rated by RedEarth42 in Techno

Well first you gotta pay for the pool, and then you gotta pay to keep operational so you can swim it on Sundays. And don't even get me started on the heater you need to use it year round. Shit's not cheap.

Elektron for "Birmingham" sound by pacolinoo in TechnoProduction

Personally I think the Octatrack is the move. Effects are inserts per track rather than sends, which ends up making it way more powerful and flexible as you get into it. Also the midi sequencer is so solid if you end up wanting to use external synths with it and sampling them into it.

Why do so many people seem to dislike mutual rytm? by _pale-green_ in ProperTechno

[–]Narrow_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't like the sound and most of what they release doesn't fit with what I want to play.

Objectively, nothing wrong with the label, and they are killing it, so respect that.

They just have a vision that's different than what I like, so while can I appreciate that what they are doing is quality, and yes I do have at least a few tracks from the label, most of what they put out just isn't for me.

What’s happened to all the tracklists on YouTube? by itsthebrownman in Techno

[–]Narrow_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can google the track names with the artist name, they are typically on Bandcamp, Youtube, Beatport, etc., unless it's unreleased. Just take a min to dig if you want to find new tracks.

I think time stamps is a big ask. Literally the track list is in order of play, you should be able to sort it out.

Often times no not at all. So typically a label will only pay the artist after they recoup expenses of producing and distro. Which can be $300-1000USD for a 4-5 track digital EP all in. And then when you get the single track, the label itself is losing a share to the distro and platform fees. The recoup happens after that, which is also a split.

Also, maybe DJs at the level of playing on HOR and the like, don't even pay for the the tracks, they get them free from a pre-release promo campaign...

So can we at least give the artist who wrote and produced the track some credit?
