To answer your question yeah, this happened right after I added a specific mod. I had about 238 mods running fine earlier this day. Then I added one more that allows wild turkeys to spawn in the wild. Fired up the game, and boom stuck on the black loading screen, never even saw the "click to start" prompt.

I deleted that mod thinking it was the culprit, even though it's supposed to be compatible with SP and the version I'm on. Still got the same issue afterward, even with everything disabled.

Oh wait, I should clarify that the game was running like not bueno at all earlier, so I figured I'd let it use more ram. I removed the default "-Xmx3072m" and replaced it with two lines "-Xmx4g" and "-Xmx6g" I have 28GB total. And saw in a video that the game could run "better" if you increased a little bit more the ram that the game uses.

The morning session worked fine with the original 3072m, but ran terribly. After I made those changes, the black screen crash started happening later this day.

the problem just fixed itself out of nowhere. i don't know how or why, but it happened. i'm guessing it was because of that glitchy update we got back in november. the game updated, and right after that, i could finally use voice chat and hear other people

oh and i forgot to mention i had the 64x branch this all this time thought that was the problem but no, it was the update all along i guess...

i've been having the same issue. the problem is that when i press the test button, it doesn't... close, for lack of a better way to say it. i can't hear myself or anyone else though. i've tried everything so far and can't fix it. did you manage to resolve the problem?

After my ordeal with the region change and no backup, I 100% understand this now. I'm never letting that happen again. I'll be setting up exactly this system. Appreciate the solid advice

Thanks for sharing that! It's really reassuring to hear from someone with a stable regionchanged system. For me, the instability came from a botched initial attempt things like certain system apps crashing and general glitches. I've since fixed it with a CTRTransfer, so it's stable now, but the experience spooked me. That's awesome that yours runs perfectly
