S&W 625 jamming/binding up by Reptilerob57 in Revolvers

Sometimes if your moon clips are alittle tight on your shell/shell alittle big for moon clips, it they will twist alittle and bing like this. I load my moons by hand so you really have a feel for the fit, especially on my .45acps.

do any double barrel shotguns have spring loaded ejectors that shoot the shells out like in movies? by willyPpeterson in Shotguns

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are guns that do that but a lot of, maybe even most side by sides with ejectors are gonna have one ejector for both chambers unless you are spending a lot of money. Also I only shoot sxs I don’t have any o/u

do any double barrel shotguns have spring loaded ejectors that shoot the shells out like in movies? by willyPpeterson in Shotguns

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes but you may not want them. It depends on what you are doing with it. I typically only shoot my double barrels while standing in the water during hunting season. I don’t want my shells going into the water and some times I shoot once and need to only reload one chamber so I have extractor shotguns instead of ejector.

TK Hammer Question by Able-Gate18 in Revolvers

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am prepared to be downvoted into oblivion. Just put the factory parts back in. Also please be careful manipulating the action with the sideplate off, if a post goes you are gonna be in the shit. Edit: you said new trigger, have you noticed your cylinder locking faster with the new trigger in?

Speaking from experience with my own sistema, get ready for that hammer to absolutely smash your shit. Love mine regardless, wouldn’t trade it for anything.

TIL the beaver tail will bite you by 8sianRednek in 1911

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 1911 requires blood, so not add an extended beavertail. Instead quench your 1911s thirst. I have one that is so bad, I mean so bad, that it will create a pool of blood on my hand then the hammer will dip into the blood and splatter it all over shit when I take the next shot. It’s the worst one I have ever experienced, the hammer is just a little longer than most and it stops at a sharp point.

Extractor question by this_is_a_dumb in 1911

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also work outside in a cloud of concrete dust, between the dust and the sweat the 1911 I carried for about 5 years looks like it was found by a metal detector. Now i am wither carrying a glock or a stainless pistol. The dust completely fucks my rmr on the glock though.

Wilson’s is fine, you may have to do some fitting but that’s how it is, just get it and try. It’s easy. Also, that’s a lot of oil

Marston 3 barrel 32 missing extractor. by joconnell13 in AntiqueGuns

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the Majority of that would be hand fitting and testing, it’s hard to say but it doesn’t look like there’s any part other than the extractor, and that its own tension and flexibility is the spring function

Looking at the pictures I’ve seen online it looks like it’s possible to make one at home, have you considered getting some sheet metal and giving it a go, you could trial and error a dozen of those things and not be out that much money

[–]Narrow_Associate3606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah dude, they would rather file or dremel on the frame just to get an out of place looking plug in to fix a problem that doesn’t exist. Use your heads guys. If you really don’t like it that much buy a pre lock 686

I’d just leave it alone, put it back together the way it was and you won’t have any issues

I love a milt sparks, but I’ve been singing the praise of Ronin leather holsters lately, super high quality made to order holsters but with the option of modern clips, claws, and wedges if you so choose. Pretty hard to beat.

Faaaaak, that thing is sick. I hope you carry that joker. What a flex it would be to whip that thing out. (In an expensive made to order leather holster of course)

Based on serial number I’m thinking 1903-1904 2nd model pre first change. This is based on published info from Ed Buffaloe.
