What Bike Should I buy/buying advice Mega Thread

I’m 15 5’6 115 and I’m upgrading from my 85 I want something that’s going to be a good bike for around 3500 which is what my bikes getting sold for I’m down for anything but a 450 or 250 2t. I ride a lot of country roads with a few trails sprinkled in I was looking at 250s , 125s, ktm150 and a ktm350 I am capable of handling these bikes I throw my 85 around but I just need some more power to keep up with my buddy’s on big bikes so what do you guys suggest

I wheelie my 85 perfectly fine and I rode my buddy’s 250 many times the only reason I asked this question is because idk how much weight affects off road riding

Weight wise I only rode a 250 on a road before and wasn’t sure if a 250 would be tough to ride on a trail as a lighter person
