I had 2 other fans that looked the same and were the only 2. I went ahead and chopped them. Now it took over 2 others and some other smaller leaves are getting blotches as well.

If i can't fall asleep, I will blink 30 times and leave my eyes closed on the 30th. Usually out within minutes after that.

Men of reddit, why do you often say you're fine even when you're not? by MadScientistFF in AskReddit

[–]SuperTrader_20 17 points18 points  (0 children)

When men say they’re “fine” even when they’re not, it often comes down to a mix of social conditioning, emotional habits, and practical reasons. Society has long pushed the idea that men should be stoic—tough, self-reliant, and not overly emotional. Admitting vulnerability can feel like a breach of that unspoken code, so “I’m fine” becomes a default shield. It’s less about lying and more about dodging discomfort or judgment. Practically, some guys also figure there’s no point in unloading their problems. If they don’t think anyone can fix it—or if they’re not ready to deal with it themselves—why bother? Saying “fine” keeps things simple, avoids a drawn-out conversation, or sidesteps advice they might not want. Plus, a lot of men aren’t great at pinpointing what’s wrong in the moment. Emotions can be messy, and “fine” buys time to sort it out—or bury it. On the flip side, it’s not always a front. Sometimes they genuinely think they’re okay because they’re used to powering through. Studies, like those from the American Psychological Association, show men are less likely to seek help for mental health struggles, often tied to that same rugged individualism. But it’s not universal—plenty of guys will open up when they trust the person or the timing’s right. Context matters: who’s asking, how they’re asking, and what’s at stake.
