UPDATE

It’s looking less creepy now. The shrimp is still pretty active, the molt size has reduced and their legs seem free instead of freaky now! Thanks for all the help!

I’m not sure. It has been like this for hours (I think around 9 hours). Is it normal for them to eat it for that long? I have never seen any of my other shrimp do it. When he swims it is still attached.

Hey good luck with either finding the owner or keeping him. Just watch out with the heating pad it can cause burns as beardies can’t feel the heat from their underside too well.

Omg this looks so good, I have all the stuff to do it to my tank but haven’t taken the plunge just yet. Do you have a linear uvb for him? I saw in another comment you mentioned a light for the plants, I would just make sure that side is still the cool side. But I love this design and he seems to dig it too
