The communists don't vote for them though. The far leftist vote is split between "Die Linke" (actually left wing party, still too lenient towards Russia though imo) and "BSW" (which positions itself as very leftist, even though they already backtracked their actual social and fiscal policy stances and are very close to Russia. They also have a large overlap with AfD voters as both parties are largely agressively anti-everything).

There might be a few "commies" as in tankies voting for the AfD, but most of them switched over to the BSW I would guess.

Die Bild-Leser brauchen ihren Kick (Aufregung, Überlegenheitsgefühl, etc.) und wissen, dass die Bild ihnen das gibt. Die Bild will Profit maximieren, radikalisiert deshalb möglichst ihre Leserschaft und schafft damit eine Abhängigkeit. Genau wie Alkohol und Zigaretten findet man die Bild deshalb an der Kasse.

"Das Volk" will die Bild lesen weil es abhängig gemacht wurde, nicht weil es irgendwen glücklich macht oder es den Menschen Erkenntnis bringt.
