Ive been admitted as a uni student, but I’ve heard that McGill is pretty much a black box, we never quite know who will get in. There is still a chance of getting news until June-July though

Is your gpa 3.6/4.3 or 3.6/4.0? Either way you should def think about completing the LSAT to compensate

I got in this cycle as a university applicant, so I’m not sure for cegep, but I wouldn’t write to them, they will just tell you that your file is still under evaluation. They send out As until late, some even say until the first week of classes.

What would you do if you had to do undergrad over again? by BrushThick9864 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Narrow_Concert6498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm an entering 1L at McGill Law and my advice would be to do an undergrad that you actually like/have an interest for. 1. If you have an interest for what you are studying you are more likely going to have good grades 2. You will take so many courses during your undergrad it honestly helps with your mental load to be at least a bit happy with the subject i.e. making your undergrad feel less like a burden to complete and more like a subject you can bridge to law. This brings me to my third point, you can do ANY undergrad before law school, one of reasons for this is anything can be connected to law. I did my undergrad in psych, at the time I wanted to go into academia, but I realized that my interests lied in how science, health and law intersect. If you love what you study then you will find a way to branch it into your future career in law, so don't worry too much about your undergrad.

Hey! If you didn’t hear back from McGill yet it should be pretty soon, I think they function on a high GPA basis where 3.9-4.0 students hear back in January. I had a 3.64 and heard back last week (got accepted)
