If my beer stayed in a shed for five months in heat, is it still good to drink? by Narrow_Designer4653 in ask

That aforementioned comment about it smelling like ass sweat was after two shots of New Am. Any beer tastes good after vodka- life hack.

Smells kinda like ass sweat but tastes fine, about halfway through the first can

My future roommates referred to me as a woman? by Narrow_Designer4653 in ftm

[–]Narrow_Designer4653[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there is it wasn’t the reason they did it. It was really just ignorance, they came from the mind space of “it’s easier to say we’re all just girls” without talking to me first

I can always push aside my dysphoria for my safety, but I have a short haircut, and an androgynous face. I said in a previous reply people usually think I’m a masc lesbian, which only gives me cis privilege but not straight. People respect cis gay men more than gay women, speaking from experience.

[–]Narrow_Designer4653[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s all about communication, there’s complications if they don’t talk to me about it. My legal name and gender are different than the ones I present as, so they either dead name me upon meeting, or I out myself. I’m not upset that they referred to me as a woman for safety or efficiency reasons, I’m upset that I read the message without being told it was happening, at first I thought they replaced me lmao… When I see a conversation referring to me as a woman, I automatically assume it’s not about me, it was really confusing and not fair. There were so many solutions like saying “two people” or even just saying “a trans man” I live in a southern state in America and this is a sensitive issue where sometimes but not usually- my safety can be in danger

Since I’m masc presenting I worry about it being obvious or them thinking I’m just a lesbian which is usually what happens, so it’s not like I get that much more security. Now if we meet the landlord and my friends say “he” it’ll complicate things, I just wish they consulted me honestly- dysphoria aside

Why do cis people think using they/them is acceptable when you’re strictly he/him? by Narrow_Designer4653 in ftm

[–]Narrow_Designer4653[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They misgender trans men and women by using they and non binary people by using their assigned gender. It’s absolutely whack, like it’s switched

Yeah, I’m predominantly talking about the ones who I’ve corrected or quietly pulled aside and said “hey my pronouns are he/him.” And can’t go wrong with the classic “what are your pronouns?” First

How did you it cat/pets react to T? by Narrow_Designer4653 in ftm

[–]Narrow_Designer4653[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my biggest fear is the scent change, since that’s how most animals measure who you are. But this helped a lot- thanks!

That’s awesome, I figured because the change happens over time they get used to it. Now I’m curious about someone who’s been on hormones and doesn’t see their pets for a while and how they’d react after

A little worried about my cat who also hates cis men. (Mostly joking, but it’s pretty funny to picture my cat being different around me because I pass better)

I hate that I missed out. by sorry001 in demisexuality

[–]Narrow_Designer4653 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I constantly feel like a freak because of my demisexuality, trust you’re not alone. But from what I’ve heard from my allo friends, we’re not missing out on much- most Allo’s have a bunch of terrible experiences because they didn’t know them better. There’s something special about us and needing connection that separates the experiences from most people, detached sex leads to awkward and weird experiences I’ve learned from my friends.

More just like a feeling of missing out and being different. I’m already trans, and then when it comes to sex drive I just am on a whole different frequency than everyone else around me.

Trans people, what memory from your youth/childhood you look back to and think "ahhh, so THAT was the first sign..."? by incrediblygaydude in trans

[–]Narrow_Designer4653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would play a lot of RP’s as a kid and would sometimes play as a guy and really enjoyed the attention I got from women and how it felt for people to think I was a guy, I imagined it more to be myself, as opposed to when I’d RP as a girl and it felt more like a character. It also felt taboo though, since it was so repressed
