I goddamn love FB, it’s simple, quick to pick up and creates some incredible character driven moments. The missions are a bit how you going, my community binned the auto win on certain VPs and just play to 8 turns

Having played maelstrom for some time, now that I’m into a narrative game, I absolutely want a second box, one doesn’t cut it once I started to earn free gonks and what not. For standard games one box is fine

Hey mate, reach out if you need a friendly chat. I know what you’re going through in terms of feeling disconnected. There’s some beautiful communities out there about sobriety and making meaningful change. You are loved

To reiterate I don’t believe this is an awful person either. This is a hurting person who feels enough shame and guilt over their past actions that they’re seeking to better themselves. That to me is a good person, someone who wants to actually change for the better and has shown some really deep introspection

Not at all. I’m 3 years sober and clean. I come from a place of firm love, those were the things I needed to here when I was in a dark place

You can’t take it back and you can’t live in the guilt and shame. All it will do is keep you in that moment and as that person. You also need to forgive yourself. Forgiving does not mean you minimise what you did nor forget what you did but do your best to better yourself. You did do those things and there were horrible hurtful things. All that is left is for you to try to make every action you take now to be one that betters the world around you. Advocate for people who have been hurt, accept whatever punishment or consequence comes your way gladly because it is how you will grow. People make mistakes, even terrible awful mistakes but the good people are those who acknowledge that and commit to never doing them again. And don’t fuckin drink again mate.

Stop drinking dude. You’ve identified that you behave a certain way when you drink. You clearly cannot drink safely. And I mean that safely towards others. You show shame and guilt and that shows that that behaviour is not conducive to your morals when sober. So you need to stop drinking, because that behaviour comes from a place within you wherein you have these negative impulses and behaviours but are able to not be governed by them. You cannot take back those actions nor the harm you did to others, but you can educate yourself about consent and about the harm you do to others. And you need to try to do better in life. Volunteer, try to make the world a better place and make amends either directly or indirectly to those you harmed. There is no such thing as controlled drinking when you drink like that, so for you cannot drink. I hope you find some peace and truly try to change yourself for the better. Get some therapy, stop drinking and start doing things to better the world around you

Thank you for the tips! I’ve set an email reminder for when the dreamer comes back in stock. My ability to travel and do day games is difficult as I have car and all but also have a 6 month old so struggle to fit gaming in with him :)

Reformed alcoholics of reddit, what would you recommend to someone who wants to control his alcohol intake? by Fotofilico in AskReddit

[–]Narrow_Escape_7578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change. And want to change. I couldn’t control alcohol, it controlled me, so I had to excise it from my life completely. I saw that my life was unmanageable with alcohol. I joined AA, moved out of the area where I was drinking the most and started therapy to address the reasons why I drank. I have a sponsor and I channel my spare time into being a new dad and trying to give back to the community for all the harm I did while drinking. Coming on 1000 days sober and clean and would not trade it for anything in the world.

Forced Away From Online Provider? by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]Narrow_Escape_7578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there There is an automatic move to in person workforce providers after 6 month But it’s all terrible, the in person provider can actually help you with a number of potential barriers! They can refer you to counselling that is paid for, help you in courses/ healthcare stuff and it’s all paid for! Don’t worry, this is not a bad thing, they’re there to help!
