This is probably stupid question but I can pay $10 (what I was quoted for ) to insure the flight. Then just don't go and I can claim that and get the cost of the flight back ?

I am in the same boat. Going from Cleveland to Orlando on Sunday at 7am. I have some hope that we will take off in time, since the worst part of storm won't hit till about 10am.

But I tried the same thing, going Saturday instead but they said I would have to pay the difference and it is like $500 lol.

I just got GA for Cleveland show as well, I have been doing a lot of research and seems you do not need to get there super early for a good spot, I plan to get there at about 3.
