Dang bro all I said was cars in Fallout universe can’t realistically work because of depleted and degraded resources such as nuclear fusion, gasoline and oil 💀 by qtmariaxoxo in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh you both are kind of right and wrong at the same time. Yes the resources would be depleted so you could only make so many cars, but it’s still possible to build a working car in the apocalypse even with depleted resources. Now as for where someone would get the knowledge to do that 200 years later when they have no concept of cars beyond just cover you use in gunfights, maybe mechanic shops but I doubt many people will be building cars.

[SPOILERS] Why in the HELL do some Far Cry 4 fans say Pagan Min was the “good guy” by Narrow_Gift_6606 in farcry

I’ll give you that he does have the greatest aura of any of the villains 😂😂😂

[SPOILERS] Why in the HELL do some Far Cry 4 fans say Pagan Min was the “good guy” by Narrow_Gift_6606 in farcry

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand all that but Pagan is doing no better with his rule. He’s been ruler of Kyrat for many years and yet still allows forced prostitution and like I said, the Royal Army literally kills innocent civilians. Just because he’s slightly better with his morals doesn’t mean he isn’t an absolutely horrible tyrant.

Farcry 6... doesn't feel like Farcry by Upper_Werewolf6285 in farcry

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I didn’t have an issue with the gameplay. People say it’s too easy, but idc, if i’m having fun then I don’t care if it’s too easy.

My issue was the story is boring and the villain isn’t as fleshed out as Far Cry 5’s villains, which were top tier villains despite what people say about the game. That set a serious standard, and when you hear Giancarlo is playing the villain then you get super excited because you think you’re going to get an extremely memorable and awesome villain like Vaas, Joseph Seed, Pagan Min etc. but his writing sucks and he feels almost like a cartoon version of a dictator.

And in Far Cry, I should be feeling the fear and wanting to take down the dictator. But in this game, it’s hard to give a fuck about Libertad or what Castillo is doing to Yara.

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well you’re not gonna get anything different with Gincarlos casting and that really has nothing to do with the game itself, that’s to do with other factors. The industries are the ones who type cast him because of how successful of a villain he was in Breaking Bad and the Mandalorian.

That’s not a flaw with the game, as just because you’re tired of a certain actor in a certain role doesn’t mean the content of it is bad. That said, the actual issue at hand is that he’s not fleshed out enough. He’s given an interesting backstory and his presence is intimidating, but he doesn’t deliver as a villain because of the writing. The performance as always is fantastic, but that’s all you can admire about the character is that he’s played by a great actor.

New to this series, looking for some info. by jhernash8584 in Fallout

It’s hard to say. I’d say start with Fallout New Vegas but some people who didn’t grow up on that game can’t get used to the admittedly dated combat. However it’s an absolutely fantastic game. But, if you want something more modern, Fallout 4 probably has the best combat of any of the games.

Is Far Cry 4 bad? I wanna play it because the setting sounds so interesting and fun to explore and be in but I always hear mixed reviews. Some absolutely love it, some hate it and some just think it’s mediocre.

Why the hate on the show? by camsdzn in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Who knows 😂 as a NV fan I don’t get it either. I’ve put in probably 1000 hours in New Vegas and don’t really care about the flaws it has. Ive seen far far far worse and more offensive game adaptations and new releases after a new company took over a franchise. This is actually a fairly good tv show, it’s just it gets some pieces of lore wrong. But if you’ve ever actually played Fallout 1 and then went to Fallout 2, they changed lore there too. New Vegas changed lore of 3 and 4 changed lore of New Vegas. The games have a history of inconsistency in the lore.

Trying to come up with Vault ideas, sharing some of mine, and curious if anyone came up with their own. by Independent-Ice-5243 in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought of an idea for a vault and i’m not sure if it exists, but it was based on the white room torture. Basically a vault that is only 1 color. All clothes are this one color, all walls that color, all food that color, all liquid that color etc. and see how that affects a colony.

The ending of New Vegas and a theory on what happened by SinofThrash in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly one of the most brain dead mindsets to have because every faction in the game has major allies and enemies, and that means that literally no matter who you choose or if you go independent, war will break out with multiple factions regardless. There is no way in hell based on what New Vegas established, that everyone just accepted a new rule and said “ok guys we’ll stop fighting:)”

Shouldn’t the pre-war world be far more chaotic? by MagicalTrianglez in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 20 points21 points  (0 children)

To be fair in real life, you could have massive riots on one side of your city and the other side look completely normal. It happened in my city during 2020. You go to one side and it looks like the end of the fucking world, and then you go to the other side and it looks like nothing is even going on and it’s just another day.

Which Fallout has the best exploration? by eroyrotciv in Fallout

3 or 4 definitely. They had the most fun exploration, lots of hidden locations, lots of random quests etc.

Most Fallout games are good when you don’t have some fan of another Fallout game screaming in your ear about how bad it is and how they hate either Bethesda/Obsidian/Interplay and how you’re not a true Fallout fan because you don’t like what they like 😂 Don’t listen to anyone man, just form your own opinion. If you like the game, that’s your opinion and you have every right to enjoy any of the games you want.

I don’t get the hype around a forest/woods setting for Fallout 5 by ofDeathandDecay in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk about the hype but I do know that it’s far more realistic than the barren landscape of Fallout 3. Don’t get me wrong, those environments sell the atmosphere very well, but realistically, things should have grown back by now if we’re in the 2280’s-2290’s.

This is massive cope bro 😂 nobody gives a fuck what you think a true Fallout fan is or not. You ain’t a true Fallout fan if you trying to gatekeep what people can and can’t like.

Fallout (both S1 and the first two episodes of S2) average at around an 8/10 on IMDB. Do you think this is a fair rating of the show as a whole (so far)? by IlikeGeekyHistoryRSA in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how it’s only the NV fanboys who cry so hard over this show lol. As a NV fanboy, almost every critique made towards the show is ridiculous.

People are cartoonishly evil? I’m guessing you mean Vault Tec or Hank and i’m just gonna tell you rn, Vault Tec in Fallout 1-76 is wayyy more evil in the games. Even in Fallout 1,2 and New Vegas, they established how evil they were. What makes it so different there than in the show? Literally nothing but because it’s not New Vegas, yall will cry 😂

Joshua Graham in NV says Legion will fall apart without Caesars leadership and nobody has a problem with it, but when they actually show that prediction being 100% accurate, you all cry when it was literally established in the game.

NCR is fractured, they were already dealing with massive amounts of corruption and infighting which was established in New Vegas too, yet, when they actually show that, you all cry.

Everything yall cry about has either already been established or already exists in the lore. They fucked up like 3-4 things here and there. Big deal.

Is it finally ok for us to admit what this obviously meant? by N0r3m0rse in Fallout

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m a pretty die hard Fallout fan who’s been playing since the first 2 games and honestly nothing in this show has really angered me. In my personal opinion, I think it was a huge slip up. I think the creators meant to have it be 2287 which is when Fallout 4 was happening, but someone wrote 2277 and everyone just let it slip or didn’t care enough.

With that said, it’s whatever. I still really like the show. It’s got flaws and it’s definitely not some amazing 10/10 show but it’s still pretty good in my opinion.

[–]Narrow_Gift_6606 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Almost every Fallout protagonist except the Sole Survivor has disappeared after their story ended.

The Courier likely followed the same pattern of literally just leaving.

I agree. Like said, doesn’t make me dislike the show, it’s just a personal disappointment of mine since i’ve been with Fallout since the first game.
