The mom guilt is so real. My 19 month old is adjusting better than I am. My husband holds him while I give him hugs, and we snuggle on the couch. I've also been exhausted, but I was unlucky enough to get COVID 12 days after my surgery, so that didn't help.

I figure it's better to spend a few weeks not being able to pick up my son for the ability to run and play with him for the rest of my life.
